There were a lot of mushrooms--huge ones--in my backyard a while ago, and I think they're still out there. On the day I got TGG(one day before its official release date) there were big mushrooms at my bus stop.
Congratulations on becoming moderator, by the way.

On Friday when I was playing soccer I noticed this huge seemingly never ending flock of birds zooming south. There were so many of them it looked like part of the sky was moving. Just like the VFD crows.

Could you tell what kind of birds they were?
Yesterday I was at the park and I saw a couple of pelicans and some Canada geese. Not VFDish, but still pretty cool.

No. I always try and see if they're crows but I usually can't tell. Also, one person in marching band suggested next years marching show be mario with mushroom formations.

Two today. Firstly, my science teacher said "misnomer". He was referring to the whole cold-blood warm-blood thing, and snakes are cold-blooded. So that's a kind of tenuous double-one, actually.
Secondly, this is really creepy. I was walking to school, and by the side of the road I found a page from a book called "Wold Without End", although it might be called "April", I can't sort out which is the chapter name and which is the book title yet. It was pretty damp, but the edges of the pages were singed. It's currently wrapped in tissues and sitting on a radiator to dry it off. When I dry it off, I'll tell you what it's about. It's pages 131 and 132.

Today, my English teacher asked us if we knew the Robert Frost poem in which he talks about two things, and I said "The Road Less Travelled".
Whee.

LOTS today, I've had like 50 good ones so far: Awhile ago T.S. Elliot was in our social studies readings, the wasteland described the 20s as a lost society. Also we played at a bank for marching band with all sorts of important bank managers in suits. They cut the ribbon and gave us a huge check and everything. PLUS, right outside the bank was a hot air balloon! Ok so maybe it was a decent walk from the bank but it was on the ground ready to fly! I wish I could've gone. Plus on the radio I heard a mother and daughter call at the same time, the daughter admitted that it was her who had accidentally lit the hillside on fire(she framed her brother)

Today, my Spanish teacher used the word "voluntarios", meaning "volunteers", asking for someone to come up and write on the board. She was wearing a necklace with an eye-shaped pendant, at the center of which was a green jewel. VFD has infiltrated my high school.

Your school sounds awesome. I had a lot of coincidences today as well. Added to those above: I've seen lots of VFD names in spanish class(spanishized of course) They include: Josefina Hector Beatriz I'm sure there are more...

My Spanish class name is Beatriz(I chose it myself), but there don't seem to be any other Spanishized ASoUE names in that class.

I do Spanish as well...my alias is Gato, or Cat...
But the man to really watch is my chemistry master. He uses a green pen exactly like the one I use for commonplace book entries; he held a lesson on the "fascination man has always had for fire, and for burning"; he's unafraid of being burnt to a frankly frightening extent; he told us a story about teaching a class of arsonists at a Young Offender's Institution for six months, and how they tried to set the lab on fire...and he nearly blew up Prince William years ago in an experiment!
(The last one isn't VFD related, but it is funny)

(The last one isn't VFD related, but it is funny) I didn't know they had academies for arsonists. That's so Olaffy. I'm not sure if I've posted this before, but my history teacher once said that she was a pyro. She said "when I was a kid I liked to gather things and set them on fire". Perhaps she's a reformed evil VFDer, because she uses VFD initial codes, but I think both sides of VFD use the same codes. This teacher seems to be showing up in every other post of mine.
