The Baudelaire Orphans were spending their next christmas in the Mortmain Mountains, it looked like. Their situation had been horrible for day one, and if any help was even about to come, they really doubted that fact that they would ever have an actual christmas.
'Well, so much for Christmas.' Klaus said, sighing.
'You're right. We're not about to get out of this situation very soon.' Violet acknowledged.
'Sunn!' Shouted Sunny, which meant 'Look on the bright side, we might have a christmas without olaf to screw things up!'
'You're right, sunny.' Klaus said.
'Do you hear that?' Violet interjected.
'Hear what?'
'That noise.'
'What does it sound like?'
'Like the caravan. No, it sounds like humming.'
'Gditghdl' Sunny said, which meant, 'Get Down!'
The Orphans dove into a huge pile of snow, and began to freeze themselves rather bad as they shivered like heck in the pile. They made a peephole, and Violet took a look.
It seemed to be a Caravan, pulled by horses, and the caravans was rather large, indeed. The Horses continued, and the man driving them was a slightly old man who had a beard, and was a little on the plump side, but other wise wore normal clothes. When the Caravan passed, they saw the sign on the side.
It said:
Very Fun Decorations.
