Chorus
They asked of Justice Strauss's help She let them in her house. They checked out the library As quiet as a mouse.

Olaf didn't mind What the children knew He knew he'd get away with it I know he's wrong, don't you?
He tricked Justice Strauss Into getting a paper from City Hall And when Violet would sign it He would have it all
Although Violet knew No one would believe They thought she was lying Olaf had something...up...his...sleeve
She signed with her left hand Instead of her right She wasn't lefthanded or ambidextrous She did it all quite nice
It wasn't official It wasn't binding But finally Mr. Poe found out! Mr. Poe was finding
That Olaf was the bad guy He always had been* Up from the day that they met him He had been mean
*pronounced BEEN, not BIN
