"What are we going to do?", Violet screamed over the harsh sounds of the rapids from the Stricken Stream. Klaus, Sunny, and Violet Baudelaire were still clutching to a log, for their lives, as they floated, rather roughly, to an unknown fate.
"Try to grab a branch!", Klaus yelled, trying to hold on to one of the branches sticking out from a tree on the bank of the stream.
"Bickodiastrio!", Sunny cried, as she stated a phrase which probably meant something along the lines of "I am too short, but I think there is a waterfall up ahead."
Violet grabbed ahold of Klaus's hand, which qued Klaus to grab Sunny, and took a leap of faith, as she thrust herself forward and took grip of a branch. She pulled her siblings and hersulf up on the bank.
"That was quite unfortunate...", Violet pointed out in a soft voice.
"But we got away. That was quite lucky...", Klaus said.
"Ooglaphiasortachia...", which probably meant something along the lines of "I agree...", Sunny agreed.
"We'd better start walking.", Klaus said, and all three of the orphans followed suit, a phrase which here means 'a young boy copying a very, talented author's style of writing.
A long time passed before the orphans heard a loud cackle, which sounded like this... "CACKLE!"
Now I myself have no idea why Count Olaf did not simply laugh instead of shouting "CACKLE", but there are many ideosyncrasies of the count which I do not understand.
"Did you hear that odd person who perfers to shout a word discribing what he should be doing shout a word that describes what he probably should be doing?", the two eldest Baudelaires asked at once, while Sunny shouted "Shout!"
"Let's case the joint.", Violet said, a phrase which here means... Oh just read the book where Lemony Snicket states what casing the joint means.
"Let's...", Klaus said.
"Dins...", Sunny yelled, as she attempted to repeat what her brother had said.
And as all three Baudelaires crept through the slim trees of the (?) to see something that would fill them with great displeasure.
