in TAA, when the quagmires imitate the baudelaires and run s.o.r.e., and the baudelaires use the quagmire notebooks to study, wouldn't it seem like they would see the notes that the quagmires had taken about count olaf? (i checked a few times, and it would seem to me like it was the same green and black notebooks and not different ones.) so...

you know, I was thinking that myself. hmmm... maybe the notes about VFD were in the back and the class note were in the front of the notebooks so the Baudelaires didn't have to look in the back of the books. I dunno though. Another question I have is the Baudelaires took the notebooks to study, but The Quagmires had them in TEE and TVV. How did they get them back? (I just checked TAA and it didn't say the Baudelaires threw the notebooks to them as the car was driving away)

i believe (i'm too lazy to grab the book) that klaus is carrying them when they chase olaf at the end, and then when olaf kicks klaus in the stomach he drops them and olaf takes them back. i'm pretty sure...
yeah, the whole notebook thing is rather puzzling...

No offence to anyone who is a Violet fan, but I thought she was silly in TEE. She should have given the Quags a chance to tell about V.F.D. I think Daniel could have come up with a better reason why the Quagmires couldn't tell them.

exactly. see, if i were duncan, i wouldn't listen to violet in TEE, i would've just told her anyway.
i also had another question about TAA, but i forgot it at the moment >.<

Lemony Snicket also has a green notebook. He mentions it on page 159 of the biography.

ummmm..... i thought that the Quagmires only wrote down olaf's plans after they got captured by him. Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't book 5 The Austere Academy the first time they got captured-oh nvm i forgot about the library. I dont think the bauds had time 2 look-they were too busy studying. If the Quagmires had told the Baudelaires that there was V.F.D. information in the books, then they would have looked....

Maybe they just took them back when Olaf wasn't looking... "Excuse me. Must be practicing new accent, please." *Olaf walks into bathroom to look into the mirror to admire his accent and extreme handsomeness* *Quags take back notebooks and start feverishly writing*

Haha, yeah. I think that he just probably gives them back the notebooks thinking that they won't see anyone else ever again besides himself and his associates.

Hey, let me see if i can clear it up.
yes, Olaf does kick Klaus hard in the stomach making him drop the notebooks, and Olaf picks them up. However, I dont understand why Olaf gave the notebooks back, so whatever. Olaf isnt stupid, but maybe the Quagmires just took them from him when he was sleeping or something.
whatever.
