My history teacher assigned 1984 as reading for this trimester, so I bought my book and check out the cover:  I'm still trying to get the image thingies to work, so bear with me here, but it reminded me freakily of Dr. Orwell's book in TMM with the eye on the cover. |

Thematically, what ASOUE and 1984 have in common is that your always being watched. ::looks around nervously::

Dr. George Orwell wrote a book about everyone being watched, and sprung the idea of the popular reality show, Big Brother.
Dr. Georgina Orwell has the connection with the eyes.

Yes, I saw that before. I grabbed it off the bookstore shelf and scrutinized the summary, but I found no link to ASOUE so I put it back on the shelf.

Of course, 1984 is much deeper than that. It's already happening (not so much here in England than over in America- I noticed this when we were taken in by some American couple with a distant relationship).
