Polish names are very long and hard to pronounce. If memory serves, the pronounciations that Poe tried out for Sir's name included "Gek-", "Duy-", "Sho-" and "Qui-". What name could possibly have all those pronounciations? Or maybe Mr. Poe is just dumb.

I highly doubt it is bruce because sir always had big long breaks in between sentences so it couldn't be him

yet isnt vfd famous for its disguises? They try not to be famous about anything. It is a secret organisation, after all.

Lets face it sir could be anyone but we could guess his name lemony never said anything about his name did he I don't really think Sir is that important. I have a little theory that Sir is on trial for a corporate scandal involving the mill, and that Charles is going to have to bail him out, that's outside of the series. I'd adore a cameo, though. Like if we caught Sir and Charles eating breakfast in the lobby of the Hotel Denouement, or if Sir delivered a message to Olaf...something like that.

Don't call me crazy, but I think he is Snicket in disguise. Ther is a letter in UA that says Dear Sir, and the letter is from Jaqueas and when you read the letter it is clearly to Lemony. I don't know, but it gave me the idea.

Well, firstly that letter isn't from Jacques. It's from Captain S., aka J. We know he isn't Jacques because Jacques wrote another letter earlier in a different style saying that he was under sixty feet (?) of water, and giving Lemony instructions to present his ticket to "the Captain." As for that Captain's identity...I've made my views on that clear elsewhere...
Secondly, you write Dear Sir to anyone you don't know well. The Captain does not know Lemony Snicket well. Ergo he writes Dear Sir.
Thirdly, we're fairly sure from numerous sources (some rather dubious) that Mr Snicket is a tall man. Sir is described as unusually short.
Fourthly, would Lemony be that cruel? And why?
Fifthly, Lemony thinks plaid suits are hideous. He would probably go to any lengths to avoid wearing one.
That's it. Constructive criticism is the name of the game!
