DOUBLE YUU TEE EFF YOU ARE CRAZY. ONLY TWO POLL CHOICES, NEITHER OF WHICH INVOLVE THE WORDS "ALFRED" OR "HITCHCOCK."
...Strangers on a Train. Best movie ever. Go watch it right now. Followed closely by The Producers and all its permutations.

The Wizard Of Oz of course! It rocks! I used to love that movie. Now I prefer newer ones, but sometimes I don't mind older musival types like mary poppins, the inspector general or the royal wedding. Who says old isn't gold?

Max Shreck's Nosferatu Lon Chaney's Phantom of the Opera dead right about Hitchcock. Treasure of the Sierra Madre anything with Charlie Chaplin in it. Fitz Lang's Metropolis
If we are just calling the popular ones, no Casablanca? Who makes these polls?

you like silent movies? ? Yup. There is more detail and story in any one of those films than most of the "fine work" put out today.

Yup. There is more detail and story in any one of those films than most of the "fine work" put out today. Except they're a lot shorter. So in Phantom of the Opera when they start walking around with their arms held like an L sign to their body--there's no context for it like there is in the book (no mention of the Punjab lasso). So everyone starts laughing, including me.
