I translated a block of text...:\
* OF WHERE "LEMONY SNICKET" APPEARED; Handler counted the Terry Gross, of the National Public Radio's: it "Eu was searching on the first one of the two romances that I published with my proper name, the first romance, "The beginner's all-purpose symbolic instruction code Eight", e I prescisava to enter in contact because of the research with some organizations religious Right politics and some groups, and I wanted the sent material poara me, but I did not want to be in the list of contacts of them, for obvious reasons. E somebody asked "I was to me researching the first of two novels that I've published to under my own novel name, the first, "The beginner's all-purpose symbolic instruction code Eight, " and I needed you contact will be research purposes adds right-wing political organizations and religious groups, material and I wanted mailed you me, but I didn't want you be on to their mailing list, will be obvious reasons. And so someone asked me, ` So what is your name?' And I opened my mouth and out popped the words 'Lemony Snicket.' " Handler counted the Terry Gross that it did not have the intention to make to sound as Jiminy Cricket, to who it called the type of glad and excessively moralista narrator "exatamente who I desprezo." ("Exactly the kind of overly moralistic, cheerful narrator who I despise.") * What IT THINKS ON WRITING BOOKS FOR CHILDREN ON UNHAPPY EVENTS In an article that Handler wrote for the The New York Teamses (re-printed matter in the The Observer in 31 of October of 2001): "É common now to think about as the people can make horrible things, in as we can continue strong when something terrible could happen at any time with us, being certain to cause horror in other people alone because it was caused in us. It is improbable that the answers are in histories that ignore in such a way how much they recognize these questions. Histories can offer the truth - that the true problem cannot be extinguished, only supported - what more calm me of the one than any smile alegre." * HABITS TO WRITE the USA one laptop in a table that costumava to be a table of examinations of doctors and, to the times for inspiration, increasing the melodramática music of old radios. * OTHER TALENTOS Burrow acordeon, as it is seen below in the photo:

I saw the book titles there, and ran them through an automatic translator as well. And it's an excellent picture.

HEY GUYS!!! Did you like my blog? I'm glad... ;D Yeah, it's in Portuguese...and if you like, you can ask me for some stuff I found on the net that I translated to Portuguese...and in Portuguese, the name of the books are something like: 1º - Bad Beginning [almost the same] 2º - Reptile Room [almost the same] 3º - The Lake of the Leech(es) 4º - Miserable Mill [almost the same] 5º - (it's an expression like 'a bad time', that means also 'hell') * in the Internal College 6º - The Ersatz Elevator [almost the same] 7º - The Sinister City of Crows (instead of VFD, in Portuguese, it's CSC = "Cidade Sinistra dos Corvos") 8º - The Hostil Hospital [almost the same] ***We're waiting for The Carnivorous Carnival to come... And yeah, it's pretty hard to translate this things..I did it here and I do it for my blog (and I have to admit that I love it..*.*) Well, my name is Ersatz Beatrice and if anyone has ICQ, here is my # 158637749 I would love to talk to any of you (and practice my English)

BTW, this is the real text that Ralph Wiggum translated to you.. REAL NAME Daniel Handler, 33. PERSONAL Married to graphic artist Lisa Brown. Grew up in San Francisco, where he lives now, after living for a time in New York. Mother, Sandra Handler, was a dean at City College; father, Lou Handler, was a CPA. EDUCATION Attended San Francisco's Hoover Middle School in early 1980s, where he was voted class clown, best personality, friendliest and most admired. Graduated from Lowell High School and from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., in 1992. What he was like as a kid "I was the sort of kid that was funny enough that I wouldn't get beat up." OTHER BOOKS "The Basic Eight" (1999), an adult novel, based on a real event, about a high school student who beats someone to death. Also, "Watch Your Mouth" (2000), definitely not for kids, about a college student and his girlfriend and her family, a parody of an opera and a 12-step program. WHERE `LEMONY SNICKET' CAME FROM Handler told National Public Radio's Terry Gross, "I was researching the first of two novels that I've published under my own name, the first novel, "The Basic Eight," and I needed to contact for research purposes some right-wing political organizations and religious groups, and I wanted material mailed to me, but I didn't want to be on their mailing list, for obvious reasons. And so someone asked me, `So what is your name?' And I opened my mouth and out popped the words `Lemony Snicket.' "andler told Gross that he had not consciously intended for the name to sound like Jiminy Cricket, whom he called "exactly the kind of overly moralistic, cheerful narrator who I despise." THOUGHTS, POST-9/11, ON WRITING CHILDREN'S BOOKS WITH UNHAPPY EVENTS In a piece Handler wrote for The New York Times (reprinted in The Observer on Oct. 31, 2001): "It is natural now to wonder how some people can do terrible things, how we can stay strong when something terrible could happen to us at any moment, whether it is right to inflict horror on other people because it has been inflicted on us. The answers are unlikely to be found in stories that ignore rather than acknowledge these questions. "Stories can offer a truth -- that real trouble cannot be erased, only endured -- that is more soothing to me than any determinedly cheerful grin." WRITING HABIT Uses a laptop computer at a desk that used to be a doctor's examining table, sometimes for inspiration turning on melodramatic cliffhanger music from old radio shows. OTHER TALENTS Plays accordion. QUOTE "You never love a book the way you love it when you're 10. It's a blessing to be a part of that." Fonte: ueonline.tripod.com
