Oh, I didn't know that. That makes sense, because Aunt Josephine is a grammar addict.

Those pics are awesome!!! I love Sunny, she's so cute. And the scenery is great. Especially the Marvelous Marriage being performed on Olaf's backyard.

The waiter wears a clown suit and they try to make you have a good time whether you like it or not? Do tell me more. And listen closely to the waiter for the famous "sad occasion" code phrase. They don't wear clown suits but they do say stuff like I didn't realize that this was a sad occasion. I heard one say that the other day when he saw a lady crying. It is scary. Always when I read the wide window, it scares me how all of this is like my life. Just in case your wondering, like Aunt Josephine, my grandma is a Dowager.

I have a speculation about the whole "Captain Sam" thing. You know how in TRR, Olaf kills Monty's old assistant for the job? I dont remember his name. Well, I think its the same situation here. Olaf killed Captain Sam and added an "H" on things to make it sound like a different name instead. Kinda like he replaced the letter "C" in The Marvelouse Carriage with an "M" to make The Marvelouse Marriage.

Interesting speculation. Monty's old assistant was Gustav(Sebald?), but Stephano sounds nothing like Gustav. As for "The Marvelouse Carriage" poster, I think it was misprinted and Olaf hastily corrected it. He had intended it to say "Marvelouse Marriage"; it has his hideous handsome visage on it.

Complex Fraud: I imagine the poster for THE MARVELOUSE CARRIAGE isnt a misprint. Olaf and his associates are actors/actresses. They have probabley appeared ina play called THE MARVELOUSE CARRIAGE but because Olaf is hasty and doesnt seem to show care about quality when a fortune is in talks, he just wrote the "M" on the poster.

That's possible as well. Perhaps we will get to know what the deal is with the poster in the movie, but I don't think it will be important to the plot. Note also the phrase "very fine dramatists" at the bottom of the poster.

Yeah, it appears from many of the photos weve seen so far that there are tons of VFD references. this is good, because it shows that everyone on set is (or was, anyway) paying special attention to many small details.
I dont think the poster, either way, is important to the plot, either. I think it just says something about Count Olaf (if you follow my thoery about it) and how he is hasty and careless. Just another small detail for fun and for fans.
