I've been planning to make a graphic like this for a while, because so many people show up saying "Klaus has no glasses!" I just squandered five minutes of my precious youth doing so...(Give it about 10 secs to load)

I think your right about them not turning into the books again because it does seem a little Fairy tailish and I know that Lemony Snicket is nowhere near fairyish. (But I do like the whole idea about Lemony Snicket typing it up in his unfortunate room with his unfortunate typewriter.

Actually, if you pay attention more to the humor and ideas suggested through the narration instead of the terrible situations in which the Baudelaires find themselves, youll find that Snicket is, in its own strange sorta way, something of a fairy tale, only without fairies or magic. Think about it:
TSS: The Mortmain Mountains have square peaks, which defies reality as we know it in our world. TBB: The evil characters alone are strang eenough to suggest that theri world is something that never existed, particularly the person of indeterminate gender. All of the books: The way the characters treat eachother and the kids plays a big role in suggesting that these books can be considered something of fairy tales.
There are loads more examples. Sure, there isnt a magic wand in sight, no one is uttering wacky incantations, and there are no dragons to be slain or damsels to be rescued, but Snicket has its own taste of reality as well as fiction.
Make since?
Also, nice pic, good 5 minutes work, it should get the message out to ignorant people who insist on posting that Klaus does not wear glasses.

That's true, but I was really looking forward to Sunny's teeth.*sigh* Oh well. You can't have everything in life.

Thanks for the nice comment! I'll be posting that image rather a lot, I'm afraid. His glasses look kind of tinted, don't they?

He looks kinda scary with glasses. He looks scary anyway, in a gorgeous kind of way. His chin looks... bumpy. I feel stupid but that's the only way I can put it!

I'm laughing so hard right now ;D. Liam does usually look a bit depressed. Did anyone see him at the Oscars?

That's true, but I was really looking forward to Sunny's teeth.*sigh* Oh well. You can't have everything in life. She probably will have big teeth. She just doesn' t open her mouth much in the trailers. Its also odd why Klause never seems to wear those glasses of his. But then again, they are hard to see on him (since they're rimless) so maybe he's wearing them more then I think he is.

Yes, they do look tinted.

What looks good about the LS movie: -Judging from the offical movie website and teaser poster they are staying true to the whole "VFD mystery" aspects of the books -judging from the trailer they are staying moderatly faithful to the stories -an actor playing Lemony Snicket will be narrating so the movie will hopefully contain some of Snicket's halarious writting style and "Snicketisms" -the cast looks like they'll be good also
what I'm not sure about: -Jim Carrey as Count Olaf. It seems like he's either going to be the perfect person for the role, or he's just going to be bouncing around the screen too much and making wierd faces and noises. -the fantasy-style sets. On one hand they add to the whole "not quite real life" flavor of the books (the sets actually remind me a lot of the new Peter Pan, since they aren't made to look realistic, just storybook-ish), or they are going to be cheesy.
I'm definatly planning to see this movie sometime, but I'll wait until the reviews come out before I plan on going to the theater (though I'm not sure I'll be able to wait until its DVD release).

oh my gosh violet doesn't have her ribbon, klaus doesn't have glasses or black hair, and sunny doesn't have sharp teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Violet does have a ribbon. It showed her tying her hair up in the trailer. Someone needs to make a picture of violet tying her hair up, saying, "She does too have a ribbon!" Although i'm assuming this mistake won't be made as much as the glasses mistake.

I typed in "Lemony Snicket poster" on Google (I figured there HAD to be one out by now) and found this... 667's own OlafsAssociate designed that poster. It's not the official artwork, just something he did for fun. Pretty convincing, eh? He's quite talented. Check his website for more Snicket stuff (including another poster concept): freakshow6.deviantart.com/www.deviantart.com/view/6027601/By the way OlafsAssociate, I'm happy to see that the first Freakshow strip is finally done. Keep it up!
