Received some news in my inbox this afternoon regarding the DVD, and what the special features will be. Well, according to an anonymous emailer, the features will be as follows:
-Commentaries by Brad Silberling, Jim Carrey, Liam Aiken and Emily Browning -Outtakes (No specs as to how many, or how long the outtakes will be) -The Many Faces Of Count Olaf (Once again, I have no idea what this is supposed to be, but I'm assuming it will show some of the other ideas they didn't use in the movie. Jim himself mentioned that there were thousands of ideas they didn't use for Stephano or Captain Sham) -OPTIONAL ENDING (Oh sweet Jesus!) -Lake Lachrymose Leeches Game -Dobly Digital Surround
Sounds like a pretty awesome DVD package to me. The only thing I'm skeptical about is how reliable this anonymous random is. Apparently the DVD art cover is already finished, too, but I didn't get an official image sent to me or anything. Will try to contact him/her again with any questions any of you may have. *Crosses fingers* OPTIONAL ENDING!!!

Are the Outakes including the deleted scenes? I think The Many Faces of Jim Carrey might also have the DVD show how he gets his makeup done.

Deleted Scenes/Outtakes COULD be confused with one another I suppose. I'm happy with either one.

I'm still looking for the official release date online. April 19, right? Can anyone post a URL for me?

That's the rumored release date that's been floating around on Lemony Snicket forums. It sounds about right, though... Give or take a month I suppose.

I'm still looking for the official release date online. April 19, right? Can anyone post a URL for me? That date is tentative, but likely. It was on a list of Paramount's 1st Quarter DVD releases that was leaked at sites like thedigitalbits.com last month. It was removed a day or so later, so don't take it as set in stone quite yet. VideoETA still lists that date, however: videoeta.com/movie.html?via=form&id=65108

what type of outtakes will there be? like will they laugh about it or will they just ignore it, because they look very serious.
