In the back of TBB, (American) in the picture, it shows the window of the court shattered. Do you think it's possible Olaf escaped thrrough the window? I've noticed the shattered window for a while, sorry I haven't posted it.

It's not the court, it's the theater where The Marvelous Marriage was performed. Could this have been the Ned H. Rirger thater?

Are you crazy? We don't even know where the books take place!

"People say that I'm crazy, but I'm not that way inclined. I know what I know and I'll happily show that madness is all in the mind."
We do know where the books take place: in the city, near Tedia, in Lake Lachrymose, in Paltryville and other places. And in the city, when Lemony Snicket was writing as a drama critic for The Daily Punctilio, there was a show called The World is Quiet Here playing at the Ned H. Rirger Theater. I just wondered if The Marvelous Marriage was given at the same theater.

Are you crazy? We don't even know where the books take place! Check on pages 77-79 of TUA. Lemony mentions Ned H. Rirger Theatre... Efogoto: let's say it was... what significance does that have? I mean, if we'd known, it could have been a reference to the fact that The Marvelous Marriage was all a fake play, a cover up for the real marriage, which isn't really a Red Herring, but the only thing I could come up with. But we didn't know if it was the same theatre in TBB, so does it really mean anything other than that they were both in the same city, if it was the same Theatre?

I thought it would be funny that Violet and Klaus trod the boards in the same theater where Beatrice had performed.

OK, let's get back on topic to the shattered window.

Who knows... By the way... When she said the Ned H. Ringer theatre... She meant the one mentioned in LSUA... It is not a real place...

Being a red herring doesn't neccesarily mean that it's not real, just that it's not useful.

True... I never understood why everyone thinks that because there is a red herring, something is cancelled out...

Why escape through that high window, when there's a large open door right underneath it?

The shattered window probably just means that it was an old wreck. It might not be anything important. Of course, key word 'might'
The buildings very thing, don't you think? Just a thought.

The window was there just because it was an old building.
