The 2004 calendar featured Jacques very heavily, if I recall correctly. Sombody once typed up the entire thing. I forget who. That is an awful lot of Thursdays, though. Maybe it's an in-joke. Maybe Thursday is Handler's default day for events to happen.
The 2005 calendar is less helpful, though. Well, I hope for better things from the 2006 calendar.

I hope there is in fact a 2006 calendar; I haven't heard about one yet. Last year, I think we had the cover of the 05 calendar at about this time.
I went to check Amazon for one, but the site didn't seem to be working.

I went to check Amazon for one, but the site didn't seem to be working. It's on Amazon.co.uk. www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1405222557/qid%3D1119099237/026-6460133-5414039A Series of Unfortunate Events Calendar 2006 with 13 months. Full of humourous images, sayings, facts and quotes, this is the only calendar using the original style of artwork for 2006! Contains notable dates for UK, US, Canada, Australia and NZ.I can't find anything on Amazon.com, though. It's worth noting that the American version will probably look different - this cover is done in the British style, with the thorns on the spine and the darkened, ruined mansion in the background.

Oh, thank you muchly for finding that! It's lovely.
I'll have to start looking for it at any bookstores I go to in the next few weeks, as I remember getting the 05 calendar in early July last year.

I hope you find it. According to Amazon.co.uk, it doesn't come out here until September 5th - that is to say, in around three month's time. And even then, my parents wouldn't get it for me until Christmas.

Hey, I was re-reading THH and I noticed something interesting. On pg. 33 Lemony says "And I would hop like nobody has ever hopped before, if I could somehow go back to that terrible Thursday, and stop Beatrice from attending that afternoon tea where she met Esme Squalor for the first time" What I noticed was that in TSS Klaus discovers through the V.F.D. fridge that a meeting will be held on Thursday at the last safe place (Hotel Denoumont*sp?). Is this the same Thursday as when Beatrice (possible Mrs.Baudelaire) meets Esme, and if this theory is true... then maybe Beatrice is alive...(edit)the survivor Just something to ponder, thanks for the feed back ;D I completely agree with you on this one I think Beatrice will meet the BAuds and then die. I wrote this theory in detail somewhere else sorry i cant remember where it was in the books section.

For anyone who doesn't yet know, or who stumbles across this thread and wonders, there's now a thread about the 2006 Calendar here, in PProducts.

Yeah, but perhaps instead of doing an extensive timeline Handler just says...."umm....THURSDAY!" Maybe he really likes Thursdays...
I think Beatrice may be already dead. I haven't really seen any evidence that links her to the Baudelaire children directly...But anything could happen.

If that's true, maybe L wasn't there just to pick up the Bauds...
And in reference to Thursday:
"It must be Thursday. Never quite got the hang of Thursdays."
