Yeah, play along...keep a commonplace book...sign your stuff with that nifty interwining initals (see LSUA for an example)...end your essays with all due respect (I've been contemplating doing that)

It is cool that LS is in his own story and that brings it out of the book world and in to ours but it is a secret and your in on it.

I like the whole V.F.D thing. I keep a commonplace book. I also say coded messages to my sister to see if she responds back right.

I don't think there's an actual VFD, but it's fun to pretend there's some secret orginization out there we don't know about.

Well, I don't think anyone here seriously believes Lemony's writing non-fiction, but you can't deny there are some really interesting references and connections and plots going on. People here are just obsessive about ASOUE and tend to analyse it. Or do cool things like write codes to their siblings. ;D

Well, whenever I hear a fire engine, I shout "The world is not quiet!" Yeah, I'm that obsessed. And I try to get a picture of any building I see that says it's a volunteer fire department.

Well, I work at a library, so when I get to work I walk in and say "the world is quiet here," like it says in book 10. Also, I keep a commonplace book. There's not much in it, but I wrote down how certain codes work, a list of people in VFD (granted, for most, it's only initials), and what the various connections are in the index of the Unauthorized Autobiography. As for the question, no, I don't believe it's true, but it's fun to pretend, and fun to try to figure out what's going to happen based on clues and whatnot.
