I am on a list to recieve AuthorTracker e-mails announcing news about Lemony. This item was brought to me by carrier crows landed in my inbox: <<July 2004 We are sorry to inform you that Author Tracker has completely lost track of mysterious author Lemony Snicket. We have contacted all of his usual associates. We have peeked in the windows, portholes, and locks of his previous hideouts. We have called an Estelle Snicket in Kenora, Kansas, who we thought might have some information. But we have had no luck, and we fear that an unfortunate event may have befallen the faithful chronicler of the Baudelaire orphans. His latest findings are still scheduled to be published on September 21st in Book the Eleventh, The Grim Grotto, and our last hope is that he will surface with the book. In other alarming news, there are now reports that a major motion picture entitled Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events is to be released this December. If you'd like to avoid learning more, don't click here. If you see Mr. Snicket, act like you don't. With all due respect, Lemony Snicket >> Estelle?

You might get a mail later. Here's what a name dictionary has to say about Estelle; this may be helpful:
ESTELLE f Usage: English Pronounced: es-TEL From an Old French name which was derived from Latin stella, meaning "star".
Also note that in Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, there's a character named Estella, a variant on the name. Could Estelle be E on the family tree, or a total fake?

Maybe she's just a snobby heartbreaker who's an actress.
I think it's just a fake. Or there is an Estelle Snicket somewhere in the real world. Or maybe one of his fans sent a letter signed Estelle Snicket.

Yeah, on the family tree in LS:TUA "E" is present on their which branches off to Jacques, Lemony and K.
But... the fact that in the newsletter they indicate that Estelle is from Kansas, is very unlike the ASoUE nature. So, prolly not. Red herring?

So maybe is the Snicket Mother... but didn't the Snicket parents died in a fire too?

J: Can't you people learn to take Snicket humor as precisely that--humor, and not a clue? \ C: But, however, did you notice the Kenora, Kansas? J: I'm sure that's just randomness, Cappy.

Nothing except the author-tracker thing. *shrug*
