The song 'we looked like giants' by Death Cab for Cutie reminds me of Watch your Mouth. And on Titanic the woman said "I was quite a dish" reminding me of Dr. Glass' talk with Joseph.

Yesterday my mother picked up a plate, and it broke in half, similar to what happened in WYM.
Also, my friend Eric recently read The Basic Eight, which doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is since none of my friends have shown interest in reading in before.

One of my teachers has read Watch Your Mouth and The Basic Eight.
One day, I was reading Adverbs, and I finished one of the stories with Gladys in it. Then I put away the book to take a Spanish worksheet (because I only read in school : P). I looked at it and one of the sentence had the name Gladys in it. Then after school that same day, I heard some one shout "Tony!". And now today, I came across a ebay store called "Magpie's Treasures" with little Magpies pics on the site.

Haha, that would be amazing if any of my teachers had read DH's stuff.
...I have no interesting coincidences. Just sayin'.

Shes really cool, the teacher. Shes quite a bit of a crazy-in-the-mind person, just like me so the books kinda suit us. : D
Also, one of my other teachers has read Watch Your Mouth. I told her to read it because she was interested in my Daniel Handler worship-ish-ness. She didn't like it. She stopped barely in the middle. Shes one of those innocent, young, "I only read PG books" kind of person. XP

My Creative Writing tutor thinks absinthe is made from woodworm, as opposed to wormwood. I'm not sure whether this was a spoonerism or he actually meant it. It's not really much of a coincidence that he brought it up, but it made me giggle.

My bio teacher told us we would not be doing a fruit fly experiment this year. I was strongly reminded of tb 8 and dove for my planner to write down this coincidence.

I just finished reading The Secret History by Donna Tartt, which is a novel in the same style as the Basic Eight (incidentally, it's mentioned on the back cover of my Allison and Busby edition of TB8). It's about a group of six elitist college friends who drink a lot and end up killing one of their friends. They also play a game of croquet. (My English teacher lent this to me after he read The Basic Eight, because he thought I'd like it. He was right. My boyfriend is currently reading TB8.)

My bio teacher recently called some neighbor's dog "The spawn of the devil" and it immediately made me think of V__'s "I am the spawn of Satan."

I read The Secret History last year because J told me to. It was... good.

In this one Lady GaGa song, it sounds like she's saying "bing bing bing". I'm pretty sure it's "bang bang bang" or something like that, but still. It makes me happy. Uh... it's Beautiful Dirty Rich, I think The song 'we looked like giants' by Death Cab for Cutie reminds me of Watch your Mouth. ohmygod. That is so perfect!
