a book illustrated by him called "chasing vermeer" it was pretty good and there was a code in the illustrations Clues about ASOUE or 'Chasing Vermeer' Sorry about those: he's always short of common sense...Don't mess with me, AlbertPls answer me!

I think Brett Helquist is a great illustrator, and I agree when people say that he shoud put in a clue for the next book instead of a picture of him doing something that happened in the book you've just read.

I love the little clues Helquist puts into the final illustration in each book, as well as his self-portraits, and his style of drawing is wonderful.(I try to emulate it on occasion.) I own this book, which he wrote and illustrated, and I think my sister has Chasing Vermeer.
