I don't know if this has been discussed b4, or if this is the correct area to write in, but has any one noticed that in the mini biographys where brett helquist has drawn himself it has something to do with the story.
TBB-he is looking as if he is watching a play (the marvelous marriage) TRR-he is a snake charmer (uncle monty, herpotogist) TWW-he is on a ship (lake lachrymose, the sailing ship) TMM-he is a lumber jack (lucky smells lumber mill) TAA-he is sitting in a corner with a dunce hat on (the book is set at a school)
etc. etc. has anybody else noticed this ?
sorry if this has been discussed before or if its in the wrong section

What is he doing in the TEE? Maybe he didn't plan ahead because he wanted soemthing to do in the 13th book, or maybe Lemony doesn't give him that much info... maybe he just gets the clue to put in teh last picture, I dunno...

In the EE he seems to be sowing something or other. Since I have read the sixth book for a while I don't remember anything like that..

In TEE, someone sewing with some Pinstripe material.
In TVV, it's a man trying to fly.
In THH, it's a man with a bandage around his head, and measles.
In TCC, a giant with one eye.
In TSS, someone ski-ing.
In TGG, someone walking the plank I think.

In TGG, someone walking the plank I think. Actually, it's a Captain Ahab-like guy with a harpoon gun and a wooden leg. Probably meant to be a pirate.

Interesting... very interesting.... I think I will add this to my clues and trends in the artwork thread in dastardly documents.

Yes, but I am an attention hog. I provide useless documents and texts so that people will see my name. It's one of my many flaws.

I'm quite fond of Brett Helequist's work. He's a pretty amazing artist. I never noticed that about his self-portraits that way, thanks for the heads up.
