I called Anderson's today. The show will probably run about an hour to an hour and a half. Seating is first come, first served. The ticket numbers are the order for getting in line for your book and meeting Daniel Handler.

I just called Anderson's too because I still feel kind of confused about how this all will go down. I will PM you GiGi. They did say they have sold 596 tickets.

Wow! They may still hit the 860 limit for the show.

When I called, they basically said you can just pick up your ticket (I don't know how that'll work...getting in line to pick up your previously-assigned ticket seems kind of strange, but whatever...) and get to the auditorium before 4:15. After watching the show, you then line up by ticket number to get your book signed (which starts at 6ish).

They'll probably have several people dealing with the tickets, arranged alphabetically or numerically at tables to get everybody in smoothly and quickly.
Only three more days!!

In response to your previous post: I know, I wasn't anticipating the show being sold out. At first I panicked because I thought I might not get one of the first 860, but when I called and they were still only on 240, I figured that they weren't even going to come close. I guess as we get closer (three days! Yay!), more people are buying tickets. There was the initial people who were like "OMG this news came out five minutes ago so I have to buy my ticket NOW!" and then there was a hiatus in the buying of tickets...and then more people who were like "OMG the show is in two days so I'd better buy my ticket!" At least, that's the only explanation I can find. In fact, I predict that more tickets are going to be sold in the next couple of days. Anyway, I'm pretty much rambling so I'll stop now...
Only (approximately) 69 hours or so! (2 days and 21 hours)!

There was the initial people who were like "OMG this news came out five minutes ago so I have to buy my ticket NOW!" That was me! I saw the date and place, and within a couple hours had ordered my tickets.

Well, he didn't come to my state either. I drove 2 hours, across the state line to see him. What is the farthest you are willing to go?

It's not how far I'm willing to go, it's how far my mother will consent to drive with me.
I'll drive up to ten hours to see him.
