I couldn't find a Columbia Road in San Francisco using Mapquest. I'll try to find one elsewhere around here. It's possible that some of the park pictures, like pages 208-210, are from Golden Gate Park; but they could also be from any other park as far as I know. These were the easy three for me to find.

Nice photos Efogoto! I especially like the ones with the telephone poles.

My mother is considering taking me to Castlegar in the Summer. If we go, I will be sure to take photos. In the meanwhile, I will see if I am aquainted with anyone living in Nelson.
Are there any other 1485 Columbia's?

I suspect the original photos were taken some time ago. I was pleased that so much was still the same.
I haven't found a Columbia Road around the San Francisco area, and I was wondering if that picture might come from New York.

I agree that the photos may have been taken a few years back. I was surprised that you were able to find them at all, E. Daniel lived in NY, so it is possible that the other ones came from there, but he moved back to California, so it stands to reason that many of the photos (not the ones with obvious landmarks "Great? Britain") could have come from the San Francisco area.

I forget who (swans probably) spotted the Vienna street sign in the corner, but I looked and thought that it looked like a San Francisco street sign. Mapquest shows that Vienna is only about eight blocks long, so I took a friend and we drove down the street until we found the corner.
Unfortunately, unless there's some landmark in the picture that lets us know where it is, I don't think we'll find them. The Golden Gate Bridge was easy, but like I wrote above, the park pictures could be anywhere. The picture of the cathedral on page 49 is foggy enough for San Francisco, but I don't recognize it at all.

*sighs* well good work anyway. It's good to know these places still exist.

*whistles* The resemblance is frightening... I'd call that nothing short of astounding. Very cool!

I never even occured to me that those pictures were taken in CA. Probably because I'm from NJ so I have no idea what CA is like.
