Page 197 in LSUA we see a family tree.
A, B and C are possibly siblings, and C has three more siblings? D, E and F. D's Kids are G, H and I. E's kids are J, K, L (Jacques, K and Lemony?) Who is E then, becasue the ONly "E" we know is Esme' could she possibly be a Snicket before she was a SQualor? I douvt though Because one of "F"'s children is "o" and Olaf is older than Esme' we know that much. "E" could also be The Daily Punctilio editot Elanora Poe:P what do you think?

Jacques looks almost the same age as Esmé. Esmé has no grey hair, whilst Lemony has lots.
And we know 3 E's: The Baudelaire's Unlce Elwyn, Esmé Squalor, and Elanora Poe.

Where does it say that Lemony has gray hair? Daniel Handler is graying a little, but I'm not sure about the looks of the character Lemony. As for E, Uncle Elwyn doesn't quite make sense to me, unless this tree shows the structure of VFD, not a family. It's also possible that the letters on the tree aren't all initials; they're in such neat alphabetical order.

C is a man called Chaz Snicket, could this mean that The Bauds are realatives of The Snicket's?

It probably does. Olaf is the Baudelaires' fourth cousin or whatever, and the family tree seems to indicate that he's Lemony's first cousin.

Do you believe that Olaf is really a cousin Of The Baudelaire's?

It was probably just a lie that he told, or something.

Do you believe that Olaf is really a cousin Of The Baudelaire's? A third or fourth cousin, if he's related at all.

I know that he most likely isn't a relative, but i don't think Mr. Poe would believe him. He probably threatened someone to write a legal family tree or something?

I think Mr. Poe was just incompetent and didn't even bother to check Olaf's records.

Either that or Mr. Poe is secretly working for Olaf and knew that his claims were false all along.

That could be likely. He knows where the Buds are and could have tipped Olaf off in the first few books where he didn't visit Lulu

She would be very very old. Look at her picture in TCC, that's not the body of a seventy year old. She and Jerome were still newlyweds when she ran off, they married right about the time of TMM, as presented in Jaques letter to his brother in LSUA.

I wish we had a better idea of how old Olaf and Esmé are. Olaf looks about 50, possibly even 60. Esmé could be in her 30's or early 40's; she has a thin and youthful figure, and in the THH picture where we see her face, no obvious wrinkles.
