It doesn't look like there is a thread on the posters yet, and how they tie the letters together. I did a quick overview of details that might be interesting. The letters are associated with one of six panels of the folded picture: The cave picture -- all precede LS to BB letters. E (#1) | I (#3) C (#5) | R (#4) N (#2) | A (#6)The sea picture -- all precede BB to LL letters: K (#3) | E (#1) | T (#5) A (#4) | B (#6) | S (#2)The way the posters are arranged, the panels with E,C, and N on the cave poster correspond with the K,E, and T on the sea poster. Likewise with I,R, A and A,B,S. Other points of interest: 1) In the font used, I and T are symmetrical and N is invertible. 2) Both A's appear backward on their posters. 3) The R is off-centered from the middle of its panel. I made copies of the letters and placed them on the posters in the appropriate locations. Here is what they look like: Sea picture: home.comcast.net/~rocksunner/images/ketabs.jpgCave picture: home.comcast.net/~rocksunner/images/eicrna.jpg Any other details of interest? I don't know yet if the details mean anything, but they might.

You can spell "Beatrice" and "Snicket" out of the letters.
I GOT THE BEATRICE LETERS TODAY!
(I 'm putting that at the end of every post today cause I'm nuts like that.)

I noticed the irregular spacing of the letters on the cave picture, compared to the ones on the sea picture. If we are right that more letters should be placed on the former (such as the "missing" L and S) and we anagram the letters on each side separately, we can make "MALICE'S BASKET" which isn't too bad.

The division of the letters to the two sides may be significant, but I doubt the placement of the letters does. I think they just chose parts of the poster that would be interesting to look at out of context. A bit of the city or the photo of the ribbon would be better than just part of the cave wall.
