Do you think that Violet could be Beatrice's twin? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/253263/images/qGNtlxinoYxtXmqaOXaR.gif) You may think this is absurd but it is possible. If Beatrice was ten she could have well written her letters five years ago which would make her 15, the same age as Violet. When Lemony writes about Beatrice having a charming baby girl etc, he also says he hopes she will have a baby boy or even twins. I also have a drawn on version of the hidden picture of the Beatrice Letters cover. I have it but can't get it up here. ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/253263/images/bmKEorKydIUDRidDNwdR.gif) Think on what I've said though, and if you say I'm crazy, I won't mind. I will try to get the picture up here but help would be appreciated. Orphansrgreat

The letters could not have been written when Violet's twin (and therefore Violet herself) were ten. They contain references to events that happen during or after SOUE (the Hotel Denouement fire, the fact that the Baudelaires are not at home with their parents, etc.)
If you relax the requirement that the writer actually be ten years old, then Violet's twin, or even Violet herself could have written them. For several reasons that seem good to me, I put no reliance whatsoever on the statement by the BB to LS writer that she is ten years old.
1) The writing is too sophisticated for most ten-year-olds. 2) The apparent age could be a disguise. 3) It's an echo of "I will be the eleven-year-old boy" in the first LS to BB letter, so it may be an intentional reference for stylistic or coding reasons.

But LS was an 11-year-old boy when he wrote that letter. They were going to V.F.D. school together. I think the point of the first and last letters echoing eachother was to show that, in soem cosmic way, LS was fated to meet B#2 in a similar way to his first meeting of B#1.
As for the twin thoer,y even though the timeline STILL wouldn't quitem atch up, I think its more likely that she is Klau's twin. Making her Sunny's twin wouldn't make sense though... Klaus and Violet would both rememebr their mother giving birth to two babies.

There's some evidence they did meet after that note -- because the note is whole, not torn in half. I'm not enthusiastic about any of these lost-sibling-of-the-Baudelaires theories. I hope that Handler will do something less trite.

I voted "I'll wait and see", but I hope not. *coughstillthinkshe'sKit'sdaughtercough* I too like this idea: Kit's daughter, orphaned by the end of 'The End', raised by the Baudelaires in loco parentis. That's why without them she is an orphan.

If the letters were written five years ago when Violet was ten then how come they refer to Sunny, who would not have been born when Violet was ten? I think Beatrice 2 is probably younger than Violet and Klaus.

What does 'parasetic' mean?

Would it possible that the 2nd Beatrice is their Grandmother?
Also, Olaf said in TPP that the baudilaire's mother killed his parents but if they were both young and still in school how is this possible?
