Just doing my bit to keep these theories alive. *smiles* But, what are your views on how young Beatrice and the Baudelaires got separated? Mine is that they ran into some trouble with V.F.D. I know there is literally no textual evidence to back any of this up...but consider this little paraphrase of mine from TGG: And as the Baudelaires would one day learn, high in the air...
Seems to me like a bit of foreshadowing...I used to think it was in reference to the hot air mobile home of Hector's, but now I'm not so sure, considering it never came up in TE. And I refuse to believe that Snicket put a meaningless plot idea in one of his books. Or that he just forgot about it.

I decided that the adventure "high in the air" must refer to their launch from the top of the Hotel Denouement, a ten-story building, in TPP. The hot-air balloon was described as wrecked in TE, so I doubt it would feature in the Baudelaire's future.
The young Beatrice had some contact with a remnant of the V,F,D., since someone taught her to be a baticeer. But others, like Lemony, didn't know of her existence until she contacted them. Lemony said he didn't even know there was another Beatrice. She also had some difficulties proving her bona-fides to the V,F,D coding class.
I still think the best evidence points to the shipwreck of the Beatrice boat at the end of TE, as the source of the separation. The "Beatrice sank" anagram and the illustrations showing that the Baudelaires each lost something precious to them that they didn't recover (the glasses, the ribbon, and the whisk) hints that this was a major calamity.
On the other hand, we have Sunny's appearance on the radio discussing recipes. That could be something they did from the island, or it could be that young Beatrice heard the radio program and realized it was Sunny after the shipwreck and separation.

Very true, I completely forgot about "BEATRICE SANK"...I'm so...forgetful! *facepalm* But I kind of wish there were more clues that pointed to what became of the Baudelaires.

Yeah, TE didn't really explain everything like I would have hoped, and so I'm still wondering about that.

TE really did leave a whole ton of open ends...which is discussed in the Why The End was such a disappointment thread.

It's strange. I don't have TBL on me, but isn't there something on Beatrice talking about the Baudelaires? As in, she knew them? They left the island after a year, and if the ship got wrecked then, how could she even know about the Baudelaires? That said, she doesn't seem to know that she is related to Lemony (though it isn't entirely clear) which supports this theory.
After the ship sank, Violet ended up on Briny Beach, where she got into contact with the FFP. So I'm thinking that she, at least, got seperated from the others. Perhaps Sunny or Klaus managed to stay with Beatrice and raise her, and they got seperated later on?
I like the idea of the Baudelaires being seperated; it seems fitting with everything else.
