I recall hearing that there was a game being developed by Activision, but I can't seem to find anything for it. So instead: what would you WANT an ASOUE game to be like? Excluding the entire "WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT HERETIC" factor.
For my post--
Okay, first: what would work and be accessible and would be generally awesome for everyone. An ASOUE RPG wouldn't be half-bad, especially if it were something Earthboundy but with significantly darker tones, and probably some cel-shaded Burtonesque graphics. Story would probably follow the books fairly well, maybe departing at some points to switch to other points of view, which would be nice. Fluid, smooth animation, MAYBE voice acting if the right people could be found...oh, and we'd have to have unlockables, like an art gallery or something. Of all the characters! Uee hee hee.
(Also, the final boss would totally have to be Daniel Handler as the Ideal Snicket, because Sebec was secretly operating on him and the hospital disappears and Flacutono is the bald guy in charge of the Velvet Room and you can summon Personas!)
Pipe Dream That Will Never Come True: Okay, I have several. First, an ASOUE bemup (beat-'em-up). It would be ROCK AWESOME. What could be better than personally kicking Olaf's scrawny behind with two of your friends as the Baudelaire orphans respectively, while on the other side you have Esme stabbing people with her shoes? And each character would have a special ability, like Violet could collect random things in each arenastagelevelthinger, so she would end up making a cannon out of some wire hangers and duct tape or something awesome like that. Klaus could hit people with books. Sunny would, of course, bite.
Also, a rhythm game. Come on, it'd rock, you know it would.
So, what do YOU want a game to be like, if it's ever developed?
