I wonder if they will let the kids grow up in the films to where Violet comes of age but will still have a sad ending (or maybe a satisfactory one, since the last book has not been written yet). I really don't like the idea of the cast having to change, becaue if it does, the films would have to come out years apart to forget about the last group of kids (i don't know if any of quite understand what i am saying ) it would be kind of like Batman I would be happy if they kept the same violet, klaus, and sunny throughout the films. The two we have seen look pretty good IMO

i hardly doubt that they will keep the same Sunny because come on, in about 3-4 years when the 3rd movie comes out (books 7-9) and we dont wasnt a 4 year old Sunny. But I do hope they keep the same Violet and Klaus.

they should flim them like LOTR they would if they have any brains (*prays that they do*) So they can keep the original actors.

It's not brains, it's money. It takes A LOT of money to shoot several films simultaneously and it's just too big of a risk for this series. Lord of the Rings and even the Matrix sequels had a built-in, massive audience that made the risk easier to swallow. They don't even shoot the Potter films simultaneously, and they have a much bigger audience than Snicket.

Money aside, the last three books of the series haven't been released yet, and the series won't be finished until 2006. Books 12 and 13 haven't even been written yet. I would bet that even Daniel Handler isn't sure how the series is going to end yet. So it wouldn't even be remotely possible to film all the movies at once.
(A note on Harry Potter though: They are going to have to change actors if they keep up at this pace. 2 years between movies is ridiculous when you're working with actors on the verge of puberty. What's-his-name could grow 6 inches any second now.)
