I've been dying to sample more of Handler's writing, and I've been interested in Basic Eight, but that's sold out, and my only other option is Watch Your Mouth. Was it a good book? Would you recommend it?

YES.
GO READ IT NOW.
It was my personal favorite DH book...I loved TB8 *hearts*, but I read this first, so I dunno...maybe there's that odd little connection there...not many people seem to like it as much. *shrugs*
I absolutely adore the way it was set up-The first half, an opera, the second, a twelve step program. There are a lot of insanely descriptive, dirty scenes, but it's really worth it.
*wanders off to huggle the book*

Hmmm... well, I managed to get TB8 second hand online for really cheap, and it was in great condition, so you might try ebay or an online second-hand book sore. *shrug* It's not even available in Canada at all, so online was the only place to get it. I've heard how much you like WYM depends on your age and sheltered-ness. Like, it's definitely not for most 10 year old ASOUE fans, but more mature fans really loved it. I haven't read it myself (except for the sample at Amazon.com), so I'm not sure. You might want to try reading that sample and see how much you like it...

Holy Hell! Watch Your Mouth and Basic 8 are two of the best books I have ever read. Read both. And you can special order TB8 at any bookstore.
