I love most of them, I couldn't pick just one... the last four are my favorite. Have you read any other Diana Wynne Jones books besided Charmed Life?

I enjoy all of them books, except for Lord of the rings. They seem a little boyish and boring to me (no offense meant to those who do enjoy them).
No, I haven't read any other Diana Wynne Jones books other than Charmed Life. Do you recommend any good ones? Though, I haven't finished the series because a friend borrowed them off me and didn't return them for a few months, so I'm reading other novels at the moment, but I'll have to get back to them soon.

The Chrestomanci(sp?) series isn't the same thing as Chramed Life is it? I read Witch Week, it was great. I love Diana Wynn Jones.
Out of those choices I say HP too.

Not much to choose from, but out of those I guess I'd go with LotR.

Yes, charmed life and the chrestomanci series are the same, it's just the actual series is called the worlds of chrestomanci, and charmed life is one of the books in it. I liked witch week too, it was great.

I really wanted to read Witch Week. It sounded really good........and I read about the first chapter but didn't have time to finish.
Picked Harry Potter but like other books/series.

Witch week is pretty good. It has the "something-went-wrong-in-the-past-have-to-set-it-right" thing that they have in a swiftly tilting planet, and the whole society living in fear thing.

I'd never thought of it that way, but yeah, you're right, it does.

Out of those choices I'd pick Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter but I like other books better. I like that book in the chrestomanci series, I've forgotten the name but the one set in Italy (?) and there's two rival families and everything. Does anyone know what its called? I have Witch Week, but I don't like it that much.

IMO, the best Chrestomanci book is "The Lives of Christopher Chant" .

I liked the Lives of Christopher Chant too. It was good. The one with the two rival Italian families by the way is called the Magicians of Caprona. It was one of my favourites.

I think of that one as an alternate-universe Romeo and Juliet. Dang, now I want to read it again.
