I once had an English teacher who didn't know about the Vietnam war and I was shook.
Recently read Henri Michaux's Plume stories. Short and fun absurdities. I also enjoy it when I like an artist's output in two different art forms.

started reading no one is talking about this by patricia lockwood … so far it’s very much a novel about twitter which at first i thought was interesting/funny… but now i’m thinking the book already feels kind of dated in its observations of online humor and political climate… i guess this is the trouble with trying to capture the zeitgeist or whatever — a couple years go by (maybe a pandemic happens) and the geist is not the same

ah, yes, "war and peace" or as it's colloquially known, "the clown's bible"

trying to read house of leaves but getting really annoyed with johnny truant’s annotations … i get that they mean to show his own descent into lunacy or whatever … they could stand to be better written by a more interesting character though. this guy thinks he’s bukowski

At least I really liked it. How far into it are you? I stopped pretty quickly at first but picked it back up again 2 years ago and finished it that summer. zampano rules and karen is right
