People join 667 every day. Every single day, some individuals decide to become part of this ever-growing forum. However, very few of them actually post. Out of the ones who do, some are good and some are bad: a mixed lot if there ever was one.
This is a listing of the best, and the worst, of the members who have joined, and been active on, 667 in 2006.
THE BEST.[/b]
1. DESCARTES:
2. SAMREEN: Samreen joined 667 in February 2006. She and Betsy were fast friends; she was ‘owned’ by her the very week she joined. Sweet, never rude and very polite, she gained immediate popularity. Samreen characters began to pop up in fanfics, and it wasn’t long until she ran off with BSam. Her influence just grew and grew, but she started to post a lot less after the summer, what with school studying, especially for math. In November, she managed to meet both Daniel Handler and Jemima, a feat which gained her respect and envy. However, she has not posted sine early November, a loss which is felt by many.
3. JENNY & PHOEBONICA: These two newbies revitalized FFiction at a point when it seemed that even Gretchen couldn’t, and, for that, they deserve a high spot on the list. Their insanely popular and well-written stories have caused a revolution, a rebirth, in FFiction, just as Skeleton Key’s did last year. Their influence has spread throughout the forum, and they are well-known even in MM. However, it is FFiction which is their true stronghold. Well done, Jenny and Phoebonica; you brought an ailing forum back to good health.
4. UTOPIA: This enterprising artist was quite a phenomena on 667 during the short periods while he was here. Utopia-mania reigned supreme, for example, during April and early May, with his exquisitely designed banners appearing almost everywhere. Shorter stays after the summer were also greeted with Utopia-worshipping. Utopia is #4 in this list for reminding 667 that aSoUE based computer graphics can be beautiful too.
5. KATEKOR & WILLIS: The cool college people who come on at night to have interesting conversations. Witty, clever and talkative, they, along with J and Pandora, all but control MM now [J actually does]. Willis was also important in the founding of The 668er. However, they are most relevant for their consistent efforts to keep MM alive, no matter how inactive the forum is. Rock on.
RUNNERS-UP.[/u]
1. BROWNIE: Friendly, sweet and well-known, but not as involved as the others.
2. NIGHTLARK: Witty, smart, but did not contribute much to the forum as a whole.
3. DRACULA: A phenomena in AArtwork, but is not well-known outside her field.
MOST WELCOMING OLD MEMBER: BETSY.
Well done to all of you. Also, honourable mentions go out to Mitch and WhiteRose. Yet it’s rather disheartening that some of these members aren’t very active anymore. Hopefully, they’ll return. Or perhaps they’re just additions to the growing number of people driven away by ADR and her rule.

It’s a new year for 667, and a new year for The 667er. Through all this time, through the thick and the thin, The 667er has survived, and now it’s time to look back at where we were, to reflect, and to see where we’ve come. It’s a time to reflect on all the people who have helped to contribute to The 667er this year, be it every week or just once or twice. Here are some of the many, many people who have helped, and their contributions:
BSam’s column: Unedited, as always, BSam writes about anything, from a trip to New York to a mock Threadu chapter.
Subjective Flaneur’s articles: A news update on 667, along with Flaneur’s thoughts.
Jemima’s Un-advice column: A parody on the standard advice column, Jemima gave not-so-helpful advice, as well as a “How-to” section. Jemima also wrote a column about her thoughts.
PJ’s rant: PJ’s rant was a staple in the early days of The 667er, with PJ giving news about the week as well as ranting.
Libby’s interviews: Libby has interviewed many, many members old and new, loved and despised, throughout the year for The 667.
Spoony’s column: A weekly game column made to increase 667 participation.
Whoami: A mystery column, where mysterious member Whoami gives clues to her identity.
Sixteen’s ASOUE article: An article summarizing all the theories, speculation, and spoilers discussed in the Burdensome Books section.
Tess’s thoughts: Tess’s thoughts on the events of the week, or anything else.
Lauren’s cartoon: A weekly cartoon parodying the events of the week.
Gretchen’s things you ought to know lest you evaporate: Morbid facts and information that we couldn’t do without.
Robert’s game review: Robert reviewed computer games he’d played over the week. He also sent in several other articles unrelated to games.
Sora’s movie review: Sora reviewed movies that he’d watched over the week.
Eoghann’s music review: Eoghann reviewed musical albums that he’d listened to over the week.
Amanda’s art and literature review: Amanda reviewed the creative efforts of 667 over the week.
He’s pieces: Usually stories that complimented the Flaneur’s writing that week.
Snicket’s tech help: Snicket helps people with their technical problems and taught us magic tricks.
Grace poll column: Grace made polls during the week and reported on the results.
Ligeia’s game column: A lot like Spoony’s current column, except this one ended when Ligeia mysteriously disappeared.
Betsy’s rant: Betsy took over for PJ for a while when he stopped ranting.
SnicketFace’s rant: SnicketFace took over for PJ for a while when he stopped ranting.
Dupin’s rant: Dupin took over for PJ for a while when he stopped ranting.
Descartes, reporter: Descartes wrote many special reports for The 667er.
J., reporter and ranter: J. wrote many special reports for The 667er. She also wrote a couple of rants.
Alice: Wrote a couple of reports for The 667er.
Euro: Wrote a report about Kiera Knightly.
Wasabi: Wasabi has written rants and a movie review for the magazine.
Comments from Brownie: a one-week column about Brownie’s thoughts.
Dante: Once wrote a review for a nonexistent story.
Antenora: Once drew a picture of The 667er’s staff.
Some of these people are no longer with us, and others are, but all are appreciated. In addition to the people, there are also some additional features introduced to The 667er that are no longer around:
The 667er Group: A group that consisted of The 667er, 667er Animations, and 667er Publications, and it eventually dissolved.
Newsline: A paragraph on the news for each major board on 667.
Midweek News Report: One or two news reports published mid-week.
The 667 Advertiser: A supplement at the end of The 667er that advertised people’s stories.
Here’s to a wonderful year here at 667 and with The 667er, and best wishes for another great year!
-Linda.

To my fellow 667ers: Hello again from my family's office and computer! Actually, from my father's house.
Whilst I am absorbed in the wonderful tales and speech of the great Sherlock Holmes, I have to say I have been lost on the streets of London for a few days with the great detective and his wife, Mary Russell (during the Laurie R. King series of books detailing their adventures). Unfortunately, this is not true. I have instead been exploring the wonders of Monticello, Ashlawn, and Madison's home (the name escapes me). So instead, I have been immersed in the lives of three of the (my) Nation's first five presidents. This, my friends and compatriots, is true.
So, what do I have to tell you? Well, I could say I'm proud of your guesses, the number of people who guessed, and my gerbils' behaviours. Unfortunately, I can only commend my gerbils for their fine behaviour. Only four people have guessed my identity, all wrong, and only one person has guessed more than once! So Libitina, Dupin, Jemima (who guessed twice) and Sixteen, I thank you. But this is no pity party. I just want more people to have fun. If this correspondence sounds like I’m peeved and annoyed, take it as such. I’ve been up late with a horrible English project, I need sleep, and I’m sick of people in general. Especially those who read my article and don’t guess. But ignore my mood. My sister stole my book, so I’m just peeved because of that.
OK, so here goes, more clues.
Clue 1. A recap.
I love books in which the main characters are animals. This is a major hint. In the book Mattimeo, by Brian Jacques, there is a character with the title “Muse” after his name. It is this type of animal I enjoy most of all, and one could say I have an obsession over it. For an easier hint, unscramble these names for the same result.
Higwed
Enors
Lyfgie
Clue 2. A story.
It was two years and eight months ago that I joined. At that time, I was closely associated with a youth whose name started with P. His cousin invited me to his website, after he himself had asked me to come multiple times. It is at that time I entered THIS SITE.
Clue 3. A really obvious clue.
I have written 2 667 stories. One of these includes a character by the name of Gen’ral, a character modelled after a neighbourhood bird who attacked our front door. In the first, two friends and I, who used to post regularly in a certain thread in LLit., create an alliance.
Clue 4. Instruments (an even more obvious clue)
NOTE:
Please read the clues before you guess. They’re made for you to think, of course. So be Sherlock Holmes or Mary Russell for a little while.
And such ends my correspondence for a tad.

Welcome to Jem's Random Article! The column where Jemima talks about anything that happens to be on her mind. This week, the topic is:
WEIRD AL.
Come on! Who doesn't like Weird Al Yankovic? He's awesome! Well, when I was just a small, little kid, I didn't really know him and I wasn't really into his stuff. I thought he was funny, but I wasn't a kid that went out and bought all of his CDs. No, the influence of Star Wars and my cousin is what made me discover his greatness. My cousin S. was visiting our grandparents, and we were there too, so he went to drive us around. The CD he picked to play was Weird Al's CD about food; I cannot recall the title right now. But he played "I like Rocky Road," and that was the beginning of a new relationship. With a man I barely knew.
Fast forward to Star Wars: Episode I. Me and my sister are nerds. It's true. But we love Star Wars. It's so freakin' cool. *nerd* But the second time I met Weird Al was with his parody of "American Pie." The song totally gives away the plot of Star Wars, even though no one else knew what was going to happen in further movies. Me and my sis have been singing that in awkward times whenever we have nothing to say... good times, good times. "My, my, this Anakin guy. Maybe Vader someday later but now he's just a small fry... he left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye, ‘Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi...’"
And now for the two videos I love most so far:
Bedrock Anthem!!!
White and Nerdy!<3
Okay, I couldn't forget Amish Paradise...
Weird Al is the ultimate parody man of the 20th and 21st century. He is the modern genius of the USA.
At least, that's what I think.
