Heaven can be...just...I don't know, a library with tons and tons of books on whatever you want. Or...Earth, only with no pain. Whatever you want. You want to live in a house made of quarters? Then that's what you live in there.... Oooo... I like the eternal library! ;D I am not sure what to believe. I believe in God because maybe if I stopped he might smite me down! Also, because believing in he/she is comporting, but I can't believe in hell; it just sounds too terrible. God, any God, could not be as mean as to torture a soul forever just because when they were alive they sinned somehow! I mean christen belief says FOREVER! I mean what if the soul repents? I think hell is too cruel to exist, but if there is no hell is there heaven? NO ONE has a right to tell you you have sinned and that you are going to hell!!!!

They had the choice too accept Jesus as their savior. God made his presence clear every way he could without damaging our rights. Without force. So if they are in hell, it's they're fault.

So what you're saying is that only people who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior go to Heaven. So what you're saying is that Christians go to Heaven and everybody else goes to Hell. So what you're saying is that you are superior to me because of your faith. So what you're saying is that I'll be damned even if I save the human race.
So what you're saying is prejudiced and closed-minded.

[q] am not sure what to believe. [/q] Join the agnostic club.
[q]I believe in God because maybe if I stopped he might smite me down![/q] To paraphrase Terry Pratchett, "[someone] said, "Why not believe in the gods? I mean, if there are none, you lost nothing, and if there are, you're safe". When [that person] died, he woke up in a place where the gods surronded him with painful-looking sticks."
[q] Also, because believing in he/she is comporting, but I can't believe in hell; it just sounds too terrible. God, any God, could not be as mean as to torture a soul forever just because when they were alive they sinned somehow![/q] Amen. My thoughts exactly. [q]I mean christen belief says FOREVER! I mean what if the soul repents? I think hell is too cruel to exist, but if there is no hell is there heaven?[/q] I prefer what Judaism says, "You go to a sad place for a "year" after you die. Then you go to one of the seven layers of heaven." 'Course, I could be wrong. That's all my teacher told me. Said that's all she's "heard". But I liked thati dea, though I found problems. How do you judge a "year"? I feel time is immeasurable. A year on one planet is 365 days and on anotheri t can be 740749 "days". But wouldn't the concept of a day change with the concept of a year?

I've heard of the lovely bones...it's a book from the point of view of a girl in heaven, right?

I'm sorry does Klaus have beliefs that offend you? Get over it. Why should you expect someone to twist what they believe just because you deem it prejudice? Or even because society may deem it prejudice? That's close-minded. Goblin can come and tell me I'm going to wherever because I'm a Christian (though I don't think there is such a thing in Paganism.. is there?) but I'm not going to call him close-minded. I may disagree with him, and say I believe something different but to call him prejudice? No. Goblin has his beliefs. I have my beliefs. Klaus has his beliefs. You have yours-- now stop taking away others right to believe and think what they want because when you do that you're taking away your right as well. *applause*

I don't believe in Hell. To me, Heaven is like Earth, but, well, all natural. Humans walk around naked (have you ever wondered about the purpose of clothes? I have) and there is no electricity; no energy, really. And I hate it, hate it, HATE IT when people say to me "Oh, you're going to go to Hell because you don't believe Jesus Christ was the son of God." (I'm Jewish, by the way. If that offends you, deal with it because I'm not prejudiced towards your religion whatever it may be.) Look, if that's what you believe fine, but you don't just go up to someone and say "You're damned." Plus, if there really is a Hell, then wouldn't it make sense that righteous people go there instead of just Christians? I agree with u that u don't have to accept jesus as your savior to go to heaven (although I do accept him) however I don't agree that heaven is like that. I think it is more or less the way the person wants it to be. If you want to romp around naked then u can, but if you prefer to clothe yourself that is how it is. you pretty much get whatever you want in heaven if you truly understand why you want it.

My friend Shafi says that Satan will eat up the souls in Hell.

I should have been less insulting. Klaus, in all honesty, I respect what you believe. I disagree with it, but I respect it. But seriously, now that I look back on what I said, there is a fine line you can't cross. Telling people outright that they are going to hell because of their beliefs is not only prejudiced, but rude. Believe what you believe. Just keep it to yourself, or among other people who share that belief, if it is insulting to others.

I never said you didn't have that right. Of course you have that right. But with that right comes the responsibility to keep from insulting others or being prejudice.
And please tell me you can at least see how I am insulted. Wouldn't you be if someone came up to you and said you were damned because of your own personal beliefs?

But that wasn't the only post. There were others like this. And I'm sorry if I overreacted or misunderstood it, but this is a pet peeve of mine.
