42 is not the meaning of life! It's the answer to Life the Universe and Everything. The question was "What is 6x9?"
The meaning of life was revealed through Monty Python.
Anyway, existence doesn't have to be meaningless-there's just no reason greater than what we make for ourselves.

C: Well, existance is meaningless on a great scale, and people can't even accept that. So, to make it meaningful on a greater scale, they thought of the meaning of life.

Some say that we should live just for the sake of living, and try to make life happy for ourselves and others. The meaning of life is just to live, and make the most of what you have. Existance is not meaningless even on large scales, because every action has consequences.

Check out the rest of sonic's posts. He is very, very, deeply confused, even in those posts when he doesn't outright state it.

*philosophical look* Aren't we all? Isn't that just... *dramatic pause* th way life is? *sigh*
Okay, I'm in complete agreement: the meaning of life is to live. It's probably what you make of it, since nothing is for certain and we won't know until it's over whether there is a meaning to life at all... So just live doing what you think is right and then find out, right?

what's with the dog picture?
It's supposed to be my daemon, Captiosus. I love American Eskies, so I think if I had a daemon, it would be an American Eskie.
what's a daemon, captiosus and eskie? lol
daemon: Daemons are souls, but they take the form of animals. Until the person's puberty, the daemon can change form. When the person reaches puberty, the daemon settles in a form that reflects the person. They can share thoughts, and they share feelings. And the person and daemon can't go far away from each other, unless they're a witch. Captiosus: In Latin, it means Smart. Captiosus is the name of my Daemon. Eskie: American Eskimo, the breed of dog in my sig.
are u wicken? cuz that doesn't sound christian at all
I en't Christain. The world is not divided into Wiccan and Christain. But I en't Wiccan, either. I just like the idea of having a daemon. I don't really think I have one, it's just a fun way to post.
but please tell me u don't actually beleive in all that cappy daemon stuff. it is fake. jesus christ is the lord.
so i guess ur atheist?
I said in my last letter " just like the idea of having a daemon. I don't really think I have one, it's just a fun way to post. "
My daemon does not have anything to do with religion. I am Agnostic, borderline Atheist, though.
w/e
I take it you're Christain? Devout?
yes jesus is king

Yet another demonstration of how people hold misconceptions about other religions. I mean, he can't even spell Wiccan correctly. I believe that judging others based on whether or not they are part of your religion, or stereotyping religions in general, is called religiocentrism. Sort of like ethnocentrism.

Why should we believe in Christ? What proof is there that he is the lord except the words of long-dead men? I have no reason to listen to thousand-year dead men. I have no reason to belive John's "Revelation" was anything more than opium. I have no reason to listen to any moral code other than my own. I have no reason to belive Christ is any more holy than Socrates or Muhammed. I don't need christianity to be a good person-I can lead my own life with my own ways and be happy, and die happy. And if I believe there is no hell, I have nothing to fear after death. There are many, many worse things than death...

Like Descartes, I also think that "I think, therefore I am". At least I think so. I know that I have a concious mind, which I call a spirit or soul, and I believe that this conciousness will live on somehow after my death. I suppose that's my spirituality speaking. Speaking of which, what do you mean by spiritual warfare? I hear that phrase and think "crusades"--just a free-associative connotation.

The religious "battle" is not supposed to be against flesh and blood, but against the dark rulers and principalities and such in heavenly realms. Stupid Pope Urban II giving Christians a bad name for 1000 years..
