i have this theory that you could get lice from sitting down at ur favorite place, the movie theaters.
say someone was to sit in a chair, and lean their head back, and say that person had lice. the lice would jump out onto the chair, and then the person would leave, and u would sit in the chair thinking you're fine, not knowing lice is on ur chair, and now in your hair.
what if this were true. discuss ur thoughts please.

You can. That's why I always sit on the edge of my seat and put my hair up beforehand. I am a freak about lice though, they're one of my phobias, along with germs.

I am never leaning back on a theater seat again! Or for that matter, most other seats that other, lice-ridden, people might have leaned back on. Maybe if I wash my hair often, I'll be all right.
I've never gotten lice, fortunately, but there was a bit of a lice scare at my elementary school.

Oh come on, guys. Lice? Who cares?
So you wash your hair with this stinky shampoo once and then comb them out and they GO AWAY. My siblings have both had lice and in each case it really wasn't much of a problem.
Lice can't live long enough to cause a theatre-seat epidemic or anything, so I don't think this is anything to be afraid of, seriously.

I don't worry about lice but I make sure to always wear pants when I go to the movies, and I make sure not to directly touch the arm rest, and such because I know people don't wash their hands enough. That's just a general rule I have when dealing with any public facility. And bnever take mints that are not wrapped froma jar in restaurants. People who've been to the bathrom and not washed there hands could have touched them. I don't really care about lice, they don't hurt you and they go away easily. I got them once when I was little.

I always worry about lice ebcause in 4th grade almost everyone (not including me) got lice in the whole school and htye told us where to look out for lice so now whenever I go to any kind of theater or something I get kind of scared. I sometimes wear hoodies and put the hood up and I avoid putting my head back on the seat. Also it's better to have greasy hair because lice like clean head and such although you should wash your hair everyday or every other day or something. Lice isn't the only thing you should be afraid of in theaters, you never know what people do in those seats.

Holy hygeine paranoia, Batman!
I must confess that not wearing skirts in movie theatres has never crossed my mind.
I think as long as you're washing your hands before you eat and such you're probably okay as far as touching things in public places... again, not something I've actually given much thought.
I mean, if something were really obvious and gross I'd get creeped out and avoid it, but *shrug* I guess it differs.

Well, I've never had lice before, and I've never heard of that story before, but I'll make sure to not lean back, even though it is tempting.

Gross *Checks hair.* Did you know that people who get lice have nice clean hair? Lice only go into nice clean hair. That's why people put mayonnaise in their hair and that greasy shampoo stuff. One year at my school this one girl spread it to almost everyone so teh nurse gave us all lice shampoo and we had to use it. It was disgusting. I never got lice, though.
