Today, the British man Ken Bigley, taken hostage in Iraq was brutally murdered, like his two American colleges, after being captured two weeks ago, and being treacted shackled in small cages. Like the other hostages, he was beheaded, before the tape showing it was posted on the internet.
When I found out, I really was close to crying. It's horrible, especially that the last weeks of his life were complete hell. The reason the kidnappers kept him alive was because of the publicity with British newspapers, and since there's been no front page coverage about it recently, they've killed him.
How do you feel about it?
Is it Tony Blairs fault? I personally believe not, as freeing the two women prisoners from jail, could end up killing more people with what they might do. However, I really feel for the Bigley family at this tragedy.

You are utterly and thoroughly convinced that yours is the only way to the afterlife, that you are the moral compass of this world by your faith. You can't imagine the fact of what we must seem to them. You can't see anything beyond what makes you right. You're too blind to see. We're the cause of this poor man's death, however indirectly. I pity America when it is led by fools like you. I fear for the world when America is led by fools like you.

Well, "terrorists" or not, that's a HORRIBLE thing to do, to torture someone before killing them, or just torturing them period. I hadn't heard about this Mr. Bigley, and I hope his family can heal soon.

It's been the biggest news in Britain...I think everyone was starting to get their hopes up that he was going to be freed. I think all three of the men's fate was sealed the second they were kidnapped.

We should try to respect him, and his views and beliefs(although I must admit I'm finding it difficult) and maybe we can set him a good example and teach him tolerance. I haven't heard much about Ken Bigley, but I've heard about the various Americans being beheaded and tortured. The Iraqis have done terrible things to our soldiers, but it's no worse than what Americans have done to Iraqi prisoners. Both sides are responsible for atrocities in this war.

Now I read what Soi said over, and now I understand what you meant. But it still doesn't justicfie those actions.

No. But it gives you a reason why, instead of simply attacking them. They are still wrong. It just helps to see where they're coming from.

Soi, I don't know what you're talking about. Exactly. Anyway....haven't heard much of Ken Bigley. Probably because we, Americans, are self-centered.

Apparently, MI6 tried to help him escape, i think they gave him a gun, but he didnt get very far. I dont think it was Tony Blair's fault. For a start, they were asking for those women prisoners to be freed, but Blair couldn't set them freen as they were in American jails. I am indeed saddend tby Ken Bigleys death, but i dont think it would of been worth several people being killed by those prisoners being set free, for one life being saved. I think the terrorist actions these days are getting ridiculus and its happening far to often. Only a few weeks ago, the Beslam school was taken over by terrorists.
