In honor of the VFD theme day, the challenge is to open the Vernacularly Fastened Doors. Each password is a proper noun from A Series of Unfortunate Events/. Clues of some sort are posted in the board description.
Good luck. The member that gains access through the most doors wins. The winner will be sent a signed copy of The Grim Grotto.
Here is an example, just to get you started in the right direction. If the quote for the door is "He loved Big Brother," you would know this is from 1984. The book was written by George Orwell. This should immediately bring to mind the character Georgina Orwell, from the fourth book. The password is Georgina Orwell.
1984 ---> George Orwell ------> Georgina Orwell (This is actually the exact same line of thought you follow to get the password to the first door, also "Georgina Orwell.")
As you can see, this is really just a simple name association game in disguise. Most puzzles consist of only two or three steps of association.

After nearly 36 hours of frustration, Jacob/Rawhide has emerged victorious from the Vernacularly Fastened Doors. He finished with 11/15 passwords. He will be sent a signed copy of The Grim Grotto.
Cybermystery came in second, with 10 passwords. He will be administrator for a day.
