Now that I think about it, pippin and the palantir scene is sort of scary.

I'm a bit of a wuss, so The bit in Moria, when Gandalf had just finished reading the journal, and Pippin drop that skeleton down the well, then the drums start and everyone freaks out.
I was on the edge of my seat , completely tensed up the whole way though.

hahahaha. That scene was just funny. Why Pippin chose to play with a dwarvish skeleton in the first place is beyond me...

In Rivendell when Bilbo sees the Ring around Frodo's neck and he turns all scary-like. It gets me almost every time. Yeah, that! And the SPIDER. And the fight with the HUGE scary orc in the dwarf tomb toward the end of the Fellowship. And when the orcs started setting up the ladders at the walls of Helms Deep. I'm easily frightened! I didn't read the books first and didn't know the story at all so I wasn't prepared for the fierceness of it. SCARY.

You mean the cave troll? That was a bit scary I guess. When he startles Frodo from the other side like that.

Cave troll? I'm talking about when the whole fellowship is in the dwarf tomb in the mountian then either Merry or Pippin knock something into the well and it makes a huge racket. Everyone is like, "Great! Need a megaphone? Thanks a lot!" Then they're attacked and the biggest "orc" is what freaked me out. Then I guess I got used to them because there were a whole bunch of them in The Return. I'm trying to pull up an image but it's not working.

The HUGE grayish things with clubs and chains that are like, impossible to kill? Those are definitely called cave trolls.
No the whole thing was not scary...

In Rivendell when Bilbo sees the Ring around Frodo's neck and he turns all scary-like. It gets me almost every time. I definitley have to agree with snicketfires... that was pretty freaky... if not that scene, then when the ring wraith stabs Frodo... I got so scared

That was a bit scary. And the one where Frodo goes mad and pulls his sword on Sam in Osgiliath. *murmurs something about Frodo and Sam never actually being taken to Osgiliath at all*

I can't wait to see the movies again. We sucked down all three over about a week and a half. I know that when we watch again there will be things that we missed. I wish I had paid closer attention to everything while it was happening instead of waiting five years.

That was a little confusing... When they're all attacked by that monster just before they enter Moria, that's a bit scary.

Shelob is pretty bad... But Minas Morgul probably tops it for me as the scariest... it's also one of my favorites. The creepiness combined with that music is just.. eeep! Brilliance!
In the book, cirith ungol creeped me out.. but not so much in the movie.

Minas Morgul was truly awesome, one of the most memorable parts of the movie for me. I guess some might consider paths of the dead scary... Maybe in the theater?
