3 ring for the elven kings under the sky 7 for the dwarf lords in their halls of stone 9 for the mortal men doomed to die 1 for the dark lord on his dark throne in the land of mordor where the shadows lie 1 ring to rule them all, 1 ring to find them, 1 ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them in the land of mordor where the shadows lie.

That's a good one too. Here's one in the Unfinished Tales book: Wilt thou learn the lore, that was long secret of the five that came from a far country? One only returned. Others never again. Under men's dominion Middle-earth shall seek until Dagor Dagorath and the doom cometh. How hast thou heard it: the hidden counsel. of the lords of the west in the land of Aman. The long roads are lost that led thither, and to mortal men Manwe speaks not. From the west that was a wind bore it. to the sleeper's ear, in the silences. under night-shadow, when news is brought. from lands forgotten and lost ages. over seas of years to the searching thought. Not all are forgotten by the elder king. Sauron he saw as a slow menace...

I have 'A Tolkien Miscellany,' which has 'The Adventures of Tom Bombadil.' I like the oliphaunt poem, and 'Beneath the Hearth the Fire is Red.' And when Billy sings. Um... this is kinda on topic, I think... I made midis of a couple LOTR songs, 'In Dreams' and 'Lament for Gandalf,' they're at celinra.50megs.com/midi.html, if you want to listen to them.

Interesting, I always wondered about Bombadil... For tom he is the master, His songs are stronger songs and his feet are faster!

Thomas should be here any second, except he isn't in love with forests and hasn't got magical powers like bombadil. Alright more poems, here's an eagle one that kinda relates to LOTR As the eagles fly across the sky I watch them wishing I could fly. My own couplet.

And get rid of my precious quotes? Never! Maybe I'll get the eagle pic back and make it my PT. Here's one that relates to mortals in LOTR It's not fair, the good men say That we should not see the brightest day That we cannot view the bright tree's ray These we cannot do, but the elves always may. Another quatrain of my own invention.
