I'm sure a few of you may be familar with this. If not:
I post a fictional 'In' lot from a fictional 'In' auction, and everyone bids whatever they might like for the item. For example:
Me: One button! Poster 1: I bid two dollars! Poster 2: I bid two dollars fifty! Poster 3: I bid six pounds! Poster 1: I bid fourteen dollars!
And so on and so forth. Each 'bid' should be more valuable than the previous one, and the highest reasonable bid (don't jump up by like a million pounds at a time) when I close the lot wins.
DISCLAIMER: This is not a real auction, and is purely for fun. You will not win any tangible items, intangible items, or secret coded messages from this topic.
Lot 1: A large urn made from an orange coloured baked clay, complete with lid. On each side of the urn the V.F.D. insignia has been stamped in bronze. The urn contains a large pile of ashes and a small piece of card that claims the ashes are human in origin, and have been taken from the ruins of the Hotel Denouement.

SOLD to the woman with the set asking about her book for $20.
Lot 2: Vice Principal Nero's Violin Tour T-shirts; a caricture of Nero is on the front, and on the back is a list of tour dates (PRUFROCK PREPATORY SCHOOL, 17 FEBRUARY; TOUR CANCELLED). Box of 5,000 shirts, an entire production run. These shirts will never be available again. anywhere else; only 22 of them have been worn, the rest are fresh off the sewing machine. Three of them are slightly stained by a carbonated beverage of some description.
These luxury shirts, one extra-extra-extra-extra-king-size fits all, have kindly been donated by Vice Principal Nero and are made from 100% polyester. Nero needs to recoup the commission cost, so bidding starts at $5,000.
