Boringly, I voted for Lemony and Beatrice (because of many things, but especially the beauty of the 'I will love you' letter in TBL).
I'm really interested by some of your suggestions, though. I once thought of writing a story about the Duchess and Beatrice (unrequited), but then found it had already been written by Sixteen. With so many great minds having the idea one wonders if there actually is some basis for it. (Not so sure about Jacques/Duchess.)

Incidentally, I can see Lemony/Duchess. I don't think there's any reference point for Jacques/Duchess, though. Looking down the list: (one-sided) Geraldine/Esmé, absolutely.

Crap! I forgot Lemon/R! Crap crap crap crap crap! I so would've voted for them if I had only remembered to include them! *bangs head on desk repeatedly and figuratively* I don't remember where Jacques/R came from... Maybe it would be a scheme so that Beatrice and R could be in-laws... I dunno... R needs a Snicket and Kit and Lemony are taken... Kinda like Suncan... They're just the ones who are left..

I always liked Klaus and Fiona, mostly because I like Fiona as a character (despite her low points). I felt they had one of the strongest connections in the series.

I am so tempted to retract my Kiwi vote and vote for Kit/Olaf.... They're more fun to write... Although that's really not answering the question at all, is it? Kit and Olaf make a horrible couple! Kit and Dewey are perfect together... Yea... I think I'll keep my vote then...

I was very excited to see that Sunny/Carmelita was an option. That was one of the strangest fics I'd ever written... however, I had to do Kit and Dewey.
