Hum. Anyone a fan of this band? DH wrote a song for them, called Radio. It's going to be on an album due out in about Spring 2004, "As Smart As We Are". It involves the lyrics of lots of other authors, one of whom is Neil Gaiman. More information can be found on their site, www.oneringzero.comWhile you're there, you can also listen to the song "Radio" (which I'm infatuated with) and some other stuff... I intend to buy one of their CDs when I next go shopping. Any input?

I came here in hopes of reading something about LotR , you should rename this topic, because no one will go oh well, lets discuss bands, you'll get the WE WANT LotR

*shrugs* Well, I'm sorry, but that's what the band is called. What do you want me to call this topic? "ONE RING ZERO! BUT IT'S NOT ABOUT LOTR AT ALL! OMG! DON'T COME IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT LOTR! IT'S ABOUT A BAND!"
How is "One Ring Zero" related to LOTR? It's been a while since I've read/seen anything LOTR, but I don't recall anything like "One Ring Zero" in it, other than the word "Ring". And, quite frankly, there will be lots of times the word "Ring" is used outside of being a reference to "The One Ring That Will Rule Them All". I really hope the people here don't react that way-I don't expect them to anyway. It's a tad drastic, don't you think?

If you weren't so asinine you would have realised this isn't the Lord of the Rings section..
I've heard the name, but not any songs.

I rather like the name "One Ring Zero". It's quite spiffing, if you think about it. Sort of like "The Magnetic Fields", or "Nirvana".
Hum...

yeah, it is...whee...
I love it. It's oddly adorable... I spendt quite a while listening to it, actually...I have the lyrics for the portion of the song I heard all typed up and ready...
If I had a radio For everytime you loved me so Then I wouldn't have a radio at all
Now I sit and waste my time My room is quiet as am I And wait for someone glamourous to call
Radio, radio, radio, radio, radio
If I had a cieling fan For everytime you made a plan And then told me you had plans and couldn't go
The hurricane will wreck my bed And leave my shingled room for dead And my broken heart is scattered to and fro...
Hurricane, hurricane, hurricane, hurricane...
Yeah...should be relatively accurate...ahem.
That was special.

Look. First off, I don't think they suck.
Secondly...
The lyrics are meant to be silly and cute. I mean, God. It's not like the stuff you listen to is any deeper. At least they aren't trying to hide the fact that they're shallow and unimportant. Also, I just thought all the fans of Daniel Handler would enjoy knowing, because, well, he did write that song. I like it.
And also... I think that band is crap, you have sh!t taste! Alright. I have "Sh!t taste"? First off, don't use a freaking exclamation point as an alternative to the letter "I". You're irritating enough without making your words annoying too. And then, I just don't have "shit" taste. I mean, what was your reasoning behind putting that in there? I don't care if you don't like how they sound (though my superior reasoning powers tell me you didn't even listen to them.), you don't have to say that my tastes are bad. It's pointless. If you don't like this topic, shut the hell up and don't come back. I'm tired of you spamming it.

YAY! *gives Annabelle's computer a cookie*
It's absolutely wonderful, isn't it? Sort of creepy, but cute. Most, if not all, of their songs are like that. Whee.
I like that guy's voice...
