I don't think T would be writing to the other E.
(How confusing the language of VFD members must be to outsiders!)

I was thinking of another E, actually. I would hope T wouldn't be writing to the other E.

An incomplete flyer of Burton's Bazaar. For some reason all the salespeople's names were misprinted, leaving only their initials.

I think I've managed to guess nearly half of the names here. I also like the ones you've come up with for the different businesses. In particular Blue Beard Barber Parlor; when it rolls off your tongue, it just makes you want to giggle. XD

Burton's Bazaar sounds like a pretty exciting place to be.

Expect the chapters to start rolling in soon. I'm on a roll with my writing as of late.

I think I've managed to guess nearly half of the names here. Really? I was assuming they were almost all people we don't know. Many of the people we do know who have those initials are surely dead.

Hermes: Heh, I think I got a little over excited and therefore jumped ahead of myself. Looking back just now, I see I only really recognize about four out of the thirteen initials. ^^' *Edit* @tiago: Hooray! How about rolling some of that writing motivation my way? ;D

I can't guess any of the initials, but the things they sell sure look interesting.

I was thinking of another E, actually. I would hope T wouldn't be writing to the other E. Ah - I think I've worked out which E you mean. (What a lot of E's there are.)

The 667 Newsletter An Interview with Augusten Burton, general manager of Burton's Bazaar
by S.A. S: First, tell me about the origins of Burton's Bazaar.
A: Well, my grandmother, Helena, started the Bazaar as an option for uniquely talented artisans, as a place for them to shop and sell their unique merchandise, all for the symbollic price of thirteen dollars.
S: Why is everything for thirteen dollars?
A: It is my grandmother's lucky number, as well as the day she was born, and how old she was when she started her first business as a girl scout.
S: Doesn't the overall dimly lit atmosphere of the alleyway-installed Bazaar repeal customers?
A: I don't think so, as the main reason people come here is because they are tired of those same old bazaars which are held outside in the sun. Skin care is very important.
S: Do your workers earn a salary?
A: The Burton's Bazaar salespeople are not really working for me or my grandmother, they choose to come here because most of them have been shut down from selling their wares in other places. My grandmother took them all in, specially VXXxxXx and LxXXX who are minors, and gave them a place to live and support themselves.- the rest of the interview was lost, as, when I returned from the men's room in Requiem Café, most of my copy of the 667 newsletter was gone, leaving only the cover and the first (and last) six pages.

Good extract, Tiago; I particularly liked the rather Snickety fate of the rest of the interview. You've got a real handle on how to execute these teasers now. I also smiled at the skin care reference.

Hmm, that's a strange coinencidence(?), but the newsletter looks reliable, for a change.

I really enjoyed that interview, and it was nice to learn a little of Augusten Burton's family history. I especially liked the idea of his grandmother "adopting" the salespeople, when they were unable to carry on their businesses in other places. Such a noble woman.
