I imagine we'll keep on taking submissions until Friday.

There has been another oil spill and this is very concerning considering we already had a massive one that's not fixed yet.

Just stating my opinion, but if the whole point of '41 Reasons to be Concerned gift' is to give him 41 reasons he should be concerned, why come up with more? See the irony?

Maybe because we should see which one is from least worrying to most worrying and that we pick 41 of the most worrying posts.

The point of continuing to take submissions past the point at which we have forty-one is a) because it can depend on how you count them, b) some of them overlap, and c) we want to be selective and make sure that the reasons we have all make sense and work within the context given. As such, there are some reasons which may end up not being used, but everyone who's contributed will have their name put in the letter, and I'll try and make sure everyone's represented reason-wise.
On which note, it's Friday, Mr. Handler's birthday is in three days, so it's time to close the submissions so that the final list can be compiled and arranged. Thank you very much for all of your contributions, everyone, and I hope to have a draft of the final version of the letter ready soon.
