In which book is Olaf at his best? You get two votes so you can pick the moments when he most awesome and most scary!
Scary-wise I pick TBB
Awesome-wise I pick TE because he is so funny in the book.- but at times very scary aswell

I definitely think those are strong contenders. Olaf is a very strong character in TBB, much more frightening, and I think he's frightening in a different way in parts of The End - but I think we get a great insight into his character in TGG with lines like "For far too long, you keep defeating my plans and escaping from my clutches—_a happy cycle for you orphans and an unprofitable one for me. But now the tables have turned, Baudelaires." So I'm going with TGG as my second choice, to provide a little diversity.

Olaf is certainly a terrifying figure in TBB, but I wonder if that's only because we're not expecting it. Characters as openly chilling as Olaf aren't often seen in children's books, so he may come across more fierce in TBB than he would, say, in TAA, when we know he's going to show up, we know he's going to cause trouble, and we have a good idea of his personality already. Olaf is the same character throughout the series--what changes is what we learn about him. Therefore, I'm choosing TE and TPP for details about his past and insight to his capabilities.
(...Why July 14th?)

Because it's exactly 3 months.

I was most frightened by him in The Reptile Room, personally. The sinister way he was rubbing his blade against Violet's knee, the way he had the Baudelaires essentially trapped without them being able to join their heads or work out a plan or deduce what his was... *shudder*

I don't remember the exact line though.

I was very angry on Olaf in TVV! Probably, because TVV is my least favorite book!

For me, Olaf redeemed himself in TE. His part of the story just becomes so much more tragic, and it makes me wanna give him a hug. I liked the fact that he helped Kit. It showed that there was still good in him.
I'm a sucker for bad guys who "still have good in them." Darth Vader, anyone?

Yeah, it seemed that way to me, too. He was a lot more pedophilic in the first 2 books than at any other time.

In THH everybody was very pedophilic. Not as pedophilic in TPP, I think.
