This isn't about the street in the novel, but about this site. I'm just wondering what "memorable" events happened while you were on here? This is kind of directed at the older members obviously.
I was just wondering because I was bored, and looking through the Awfully Ancient Archives, and saw all this stuff about ADR when she took over, and all these contests and scavenger type things that happened on this site. I was just wondering what other amusing, or annoying, events and members there were on this site.
Anyone feel like sharing anything?
Also... would this be in the right section?

There are probably a few things you could find out about by browsing the old wiki. Also, this might be more of a matter for FFeedback or MMisc, perhaps? It's a grey area.

LOL. I never looked at the Wiki until now, and I really wish I hadn't. That pic of me is awful. The more recent wiki looks like it had been deleted. The one thing I remember from a while ago was that 'emarriage' trend that happened for like a year. Everyone was marrying each other. It was crazy. That and when Gigi sent out all the 667 buttons. I still have mine

and all these contests and scavenger type things that happened on this site. The best contest was the one where people guessed ASOUE passwords to get into a locked area. Pandora won that one and Sixteen and Gigi cheated because they are cheaters.

I remember the farce of the Snicket Awards, I think they were called... Remind me of those? Were they the awards we had to coincide with the 5th Anniversary celebrations (where we gave out "gifts" to the winners)? I remember the fun of the ADR collaborative fan-fic. PJ also had a superhero fanfic during Heroes' popularity which was pretty good. When we didn't know who Beatrice was, we had some fantastic debate in a thread you can probably find in AA called "Beatrice: Who is she/what do we know?" Which reminds me of Dupin. Do you all remember Dupin and the Violet slumber party fan-fic?

I remember the year we had the carnival and I designed a bunch of Flash games for it and stuff. And I remember the website, and the new forums that Tragedy deleted, and I remember getting banned a whole lot back when I first joined.

I remember the farce of the Snicket Awards, I think they were called... Remind me of those? Were they the awards we had to coincide with the 5th Anniversary celebrations (where we gave out "gifts" to the winners)? Given that it's CWM bringing it up, I'm guessing that the awards that are being referred to are the awards I created in 2005 or so...maybe earlier than that. If I remember correctly, awards had been done on the boards before, but to far less pomp and circumstance than they are done now. I don't remember what I called the awards - but I probably referred to them as The 667 Awards. The awards are probably synonymous with "Snicket Awards", though, because of my involvement. The awards were a group effort. I wasn't the only person working on them. I delegated tasks to various other members that volunteered. Because everybody has their own individual priorities and lives outside of this board, everything was slowly coming together. People became restless and wanted to know when the show would go on, and the day before or the day of (I can't remember) that I got the go-ahead to make an announcement from the rest of the group about the date of the event, one of the three in the team leaked the results (I'm 90% certain I remember which member it was, but in the event that I'm incorrect, I'm going to refrain naming the member). Not only was I heavily upset about the leak, but so was another person in the group (that I again, won't name) that ended up doing a whole lot of work for nothing. I learned from the mistakes of the award show, though. The 667 Apprentice was in development for quite a while between Sora, Tragedy, and myself before it was ever announced. Had I done the same with The 667 Awards, nobody would have grown restless over the whole thing. Working with Sora on The 667 Apprentice and the auctions a few years back worked out very well. Because of our time zone differences, whenever I was busy or sleeping, he was always awake and working - and vice versa. The wiki posted above - while not containing accurate information - reminded me of a lot of things I'd forgotten about. Several of my gag accounts are mentioned in the gag account section, and the article about myself is a good chronicle of the "character" that I was playing on this board back then. The wiki also reminded me of The 667er, and consequently, how much I miss it. The wiki, however, is lacking of a few things I remember like the new years pranks, the threats of hacks, The 667 Inquirer (I think that was the tabloid style publication Kobolos published), Random Sig Guy, the auctions, and 667 Big Brother. I absolutely miss the old days.

Padnora created random sig guy and helped publish the 668er, fyi.
Just so you know, Pandora, Willis, Kyle, and Charlotte were pretty awesome.

Oh, no, it was definitely me. I seem to recall a lot of people finding it quite funny at the time, but, um, looking back I can see how you personally might not have. It's a bit hazy.
