Very interesting! The covers seem very much inspired by Helquist, even though they're not by him - though the way Olaf in The End appears as something of a monster is a bit odd. I'm also glad to see that the Russian edition keeps the alliterating titles.

So, are you Russian ? That's nice ! I think the illustrations cute, and the ones from Brett are not, but they still interesting. Brazilian covers are exactly like the american ones, btw.

Our versions of covers are very beautriful, aren't they? To tell truth, I like Sunny on Russian covers more than on Brett Helquist's. Brett Helquist is a great artist but I don't like the way he drew Sunny.

Awesome video, colette! I always enjoy seeing how the ASoUE covers appear in other countries. Until now, I'd only seen the Russian cover for TEE, which I found disturbing because I thought Isadora looked like she was dead. XD But it's a cool cover all the same. I think my favorite would have to be the one for TVV, as it features Esme in the spotlight. That's something you never see with the adults of ASoUE, at least on the covers, which focus mainly on the Baudelaires (in the versions I've seen, anyway). And yes, I really like that artist's interpretation of Sunny, too. So cute! By the way, what is the name of the music you used in your video? It's very pretty and I'd like to download it I can.

I used Thomas Newman-Puttanesca. It was in the movie.
And Sunny is very nice and cute on covers of Russian editions.

Thanks, colette. I thought the music sounded like something you'd hear in the ASoUE movie. I thought it had a nice score, so I'd like to hear the entire soundtrack.
Who is the artist for the Russian editions? I'd like to Google them and see what other artwork/illustrations they've done.

Whoever drew those images is very talented! I like how bright and colourful they are, which contrasts from the content of the books. How ironic! XD My favourite ones are The Miserable Mill cover *saves Charles from the saw* and The Vile Village cover. Is it just me or does Olaf look ACTUALLY attractive in that illustration?
