In light of recent events, I believe we are in need of a new, more reliable admin. The people of 667 Dark Avenue deserve better. We are loyal posters, we deserve a loyal admin. In the interest of the good people of this forum, I am officially throwing my name in the ring to becoming the next admin of 667 Dark Avenue. Together, we can.

What would make you a better Admin than Tragedy? I'd like very detailed list of your positive characteristics.

I'm very glad you asked, F.D. Here are some reasons why I should be admin.
-I will be more active than Tragedy. I will admit I haven't posted with much regularity lately, but I still post more often than Tragedy. Even when I deleted this account, I never actually left 667. I still checked up on it and even posted with alternate accounts. Take a look at the moderators Tragedy currently has hired. Triangle Eyes, Mijahu, Gigi. These members haven't posted in over a year. He clearly doesn't know what is going on these days.
-I will make decisions in a fair and unbiased way. When I am choosing moderators, global moderators and even a co-admin, I will be completely unbiased in all my decisions. I will pick the candidates that will do the job the best. In the past, Tragedy has shown that this is not how he makes decisions. He made his girlfriend co-admin. He made his cousins Global moderators for years, some of them still holding the position despite not logging in for years.
-I will get things done. I was the creator and original runner of the 667 Darkie awards, now being run fabulously by Emma Squalor into its 5th year. I have written and finished several fan fics. The only fan fic Tragedy wrote on his own was Christmas Craze, which was abruptly halted and has never finished it.
-I will listen to the people. I have an MSN account that I use often. You can reach me on Facebook if we are friends, and if we are not, we can become friends. I will check my messages on 667 every day. I want to talk to you guys, and hear what you have to say. Tragedy has no reliable im clients, and his facebook chat is sketchy at best. He hasn't even appeared online at 667 since 2008. He doesn't even want you people to know when he is online. I will never appear offline because I want you all to know when I am here so you can talk to me about your concerns.
The fact of the matter is that Lemony Snicket has new books coming out in the future. This site may be fairly slow at the moment but it will become a booming site again in the future and we need leadership and a staff that will be there to deal with any problems before that boom happens. Tragedy is no longer that leader. I am.

Well......I know it really isn't my place to say this.......but perhaps we should wait until the knew series is published......you never know tragedy's activity could increase by then. I've never known the guy...so I don't really have any opinions on him. Have you PMed one of the Moderators about this? And I might also add the Emma, Dante and BSam! are online very regularly.
And the last time Tragedy posted was last week.
Lastly....could someone kindly tell me who created this Forum? I assume it was Tragedy, but could someone please just confirm that? Thanks

I really appreciate hearing from you, Brunch. It's newer members like you that continue to make 667 great. We could wait until the new series comes out, but that would be dangerous if it does get extremely busy, and Tragedy isn't prepared to deal with it.
I also want to add that moderators such as Dante, Emma Squalor and BSam are active and they are invaluable to this forum. I would absolutely keep them on staff if I were to become admin. They deserve it. As a former moderator of MM myself, I know what it takes to be a good moderator and they have it.
Tragedy might have posted twice last week, but his next post you have to go back a couple months. You go back to his previous 10 posts, and his last is Mar 25th. 10 posts in 6 months is not the activity we need from an admin. And to answer your question, Tragedy was the creator of 667 Dark Avenue and we are extremely grateful. But his time has passed. Times change, and 667 must too.

FD, i respect your opinion but this is not a joke. Change must be made for this place to revive it's former glory.
Leanora Crowe, I have highlighted some of the reasons why Tragedy is unfit to be admin anymoer but I can reiterate them. He isn't even an active member, how is he supposed to be the admin when he doesn't know what's going on. He makes biased decisions. He doesn't listen to what you, the members, think and care about. I will care, be active, and make decisions based on merit and what the members want.
Brunch, you are not too open minded. Keeping an open mind is very important. I hope you'll keep that in consideration during this election.
