Do you have any particular memories strongly linked to ASoUE and/or Lemony Snicket? I remember once I was reading The Grim Grotto outside, and I accidentally left it on the lawn. The next morning I found a rather soggy copy of the book at the bottom of my garden.

I remember when I was reading TAA for the first time, some years ago, and put the book face down on a table to hold my spot. When I returned, the book had fallen off the table and I panicked because I thought I'd never find the right page again. Someone had to actually calm me down.
I also remember sneezing a lot while reading TE, and someone joking about Lemony Snicket putting a powder between the pages.

...I read TE for the first time the very day after my "first time." Didn't plan it this way, I swear ! ;D

When I was first introduced to the series...a decade ago I was actually terrified of it. My mum and my sister kind of just forced the books on me. They ended up changing my life forever.

At first I really disliked the series, because I started reading them on TMM, and didn't understand a thing. Plus, I was really young.

When I was ten I was reading the Ersatz Elevator at school, and my friend Liam (who was born without a left arm) seized the book and read the opening sentence, "The Book you are holding in your two hands right now....." He then waved it around and jokingly claimed it offended him.

Haha, isn't there sentence that goes something like, "holding in your two or more hands"? LOL. How unfortunate!
When I saw the movie for the first time at the age of twelve, the opening scene with the Littlest Elf scared me so much that I didn't sleep at all that night. What made it worse that my hamster (God rest his obese soul) kept making noise and it kept making me jump.

I remember going to the theater to watch the movie as a kid and being very excited to know how the story continued after TBB because to that point I only got to read the first book since no other book was available in Spanish.

I once brought TEE to camp and lost it. Had to get a new copy when I got back home.

i remember in October 2006, i was in Target with my dad and my brother. i saw a big display for THE END, hot off the presses. i had no idea it had come out, and i begged my dad to get it for me. but, somehow, my brother knew that my grandmother had already bought it as a gift for my birthday (in november). so i had to wait... those were agonizing weeks...

I remember stumbling on the news (on LemonySnicket.com) that there was going to be an ASoUE movie when I was at the school library. I think a teaser trailer was out already. I was super excited but had to be quiet because it was a library.
