Handler mentioned in an interview or two that there were talks about making it a movie, but I didn't know they were actually going somewhere. That is good news for him. Shame that the book isn't actually out in the U.K. yet! Well, this will definitely bear close scrutiny. We might have to expand the purview of Malignant Movie.

Seems interesting. They seem to have already labeled it as a comedy. Was the book comedic? (I haven't actually read it...)

Like nearly everything Handler writes, I imagine it is at once funny and tragic.

Speaking of the British release has anyone heard anything about it? I've yet still to read it, as it isn't available in Britain.

There was talk at one point of a movie of Adverbs - did anything come of that?

Woo! This sounds fantastic! Especially with Handler as the screenwriter. I really hope this is going to come together.

Great! I'm glad Handler is writing the script. Hailee Stein feld is a great young actress so I think she'll do a good job.

This is great news, I think! I'm a bad fan; I haven't read the book yet and I don't really have an excuse since I live in the US.

They're thinking of a movie for Why We Broke Up even before the book has been released in the UK? Has the book been very popular in the US? In any case, I won't watch the movie until I get my hands on a copy of the book, as movies based on books tend to distort the plot. But I'm quite excited, anyhow.

And it was announced yesterday, which was also five months until ATWQ. Coincidence?

Not that I've seen, but as Dante has mentioned the idea for a movie has been in the works practically since publication. Seems interesting. They seem to have already labeled it as a comedy. Was the book comedic? (I haven't actually read it...) I wouldn't call it a humor novel, but it had its light-hearted moments. I'd not be surprised if the genre was edited to read comedy/adventure, or some similar blend of premises.
