667 Dark Avenue's birthday gift to Daniel Handler set into motion a chain of circumstances which will result in a revelation occurring in less than forty-eight hours. Less than twenty-four hours before that, however, information will appear at the following website: EW.comThis information will then directly lead to something else. I can't tell you what that something else is, because I don't know. I have an inkling only. But I'll also tell you that there is an element of luck in our quest. In less than forty-eight hours I will be removed to another territory. If that happens before the revelation occurs, all is lost. Watch and wait. "667DA: There is no one else we trust. Do the right thing. Do everything you can. Good luck."

Why entertainment weekly?
This looks very tricky. What on earth are we searching for?

I'm pretty sure it will be obvious when it shows up, which is why we should all keep our eyes open, so we can report here when it does.

This is quite exciting. But what unfortunate timing! What is the context for the "667DA" message?

This is quite exciting. But what unfortunate timing! Quite so. You may have to wait until I get back before you can learn the whole truth. So may I, for that matter. But I'll do the best I can. Did it never occur to you that 667's activities would eventually bring us to the attention of inscrutable agents who move in circles of consequence?

Do we know if the revelation is to come from EW and be revealed to the public, or will it be private, meaning all really is lost - or at least postponed for a significant amount of time - if the agents don't hurry?

I, too, will be away 48 hours from now.

As will I, but I may be able to blackmail my cousin into using her computer.

My understanding is that EW.com will publicly reveal something, and a while after that, if I'm home in time for it, I can reveal something else obtained privately.

I should note that, if I don't get it in time, the information I'm meant to reveal will be revealed when I get back, so we won't be missing anything. There'll just be a delay which I hope can be avoided!

Can't wait! Is the "element of luck" directed at whether or not you'll be here?

Can't wait! Is the "element of luck" directed at whether or not you'll be here? Pretty much. But the EW.com reveal will happen regardless, and I think it will be really quite exciting, whatever it is. What I'm waiting for is in some way contingent upon that reveal!
